The True Nature of God

Preface: Before we can talk about Gods true nature we must understand some fundamental
Truths that we have unpacked earlier in the program. Revelation is progressive. The prophets of
old and everyone before Jesus did not know God the way we can know Him and the way many
do know Him today. Scripture says it clearly in the gospel.
John 1:18 AMP- No one has seen God [His essence, His divine nature] at any time; the [One
and] only begotten God [that is, the unique Son] who is in the intimate presence of the Father, He
has explained Him [and interpreted and revealed the awesome wonder of the Father].
Well that means Moses had never seen God. That means David had never seen God. That means
Solomon had never seen God. That means (because chronologically Job is the first book) Job had
never seen God clearly at all. They all had certain levels of encounters with God. This scripture
here states plainly that until Jesus came and showed Gods nature through His own life, and
taught about Gods nature through His teachings that no one knew the awesome wonder of the
Father.
Now that we know that basic Truth we will not just draw scriptures out of the bible bucket and
say well it is in the bible. Scripture interprets scripture not mans opinions, feelings, or past
experiences. Scripture is also progressive as we discussed in the past. Before we dig into some of
the first dominant characteristics of Papa God we must dispel a very common religious lie
upfront so we can be propelled properly seeing clearly. God is not mad at man, and promises in
Isaiah I will never be angry with you, and I will never rebuke you. There is something that
brings about wrath according to scripture so the times where God seemed angry in the old
testament you know why. Romans 4:15 says the Law brings about wrath. Just to clear that up.
Malachi 3:6 Part A- I the LORD do not change!
God and Jesus are synonymous and Gods Word saysHebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
*Note some may bring up- Well God killed all those people in the old testament and God crushed
armies and God destroyed cities Your response to that is simple. There was no deliverance in
the name of Jesus. Sodom and Gomorra was all demon possessed people. The possession was
spreading like a wild fire. In the natural it would be like a rapid spreading cancer with no
treatment. Jesus is the treatment and the blood of Jesus paid for all of that, but that had not come
yet. If they would not have been wiped out there would have been no virgin Mary for Jesus to be
born through. So because God loved mankind as a whole He did what He had to do help and
save all of mankind from being demon possessed.
*Note some will say God was made when He kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden- If you
read your bible you will see that it was because God loved them that He took them out of the

Garden and protected the entrance from them going back in. God did not want them eating from
the tree of life and living forever in a fear filled corrupted body cursed. So it was out of His love
that he removed them.

Examples1. God protected the first murderer, Abel.

2. God blessed Davids child that was born out of adultery.
3. God waited over 150 years to punish the Ninivites after warning them to stop living in
complete sin.
Trait 1- God is a good all the time. He always had been and He always will be. God at His core
is love.
1 John 4:8- Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
If this was anything in the natural this would not be a hard math equation to solve, but because of
bad teaching and religious tradition and legalism we have as a body not solved the hard equation
of 1+1 yet. Lets look at something in the natural. Is it weird for a car to drive and only drive and
not fly? No. Is I hard for a apple tree to make apples and not make oranges? No. So why on earth
do we think God is any different or that the math would be any different? God is love (1 John).
He always has been love and He always will be love. God always will love you. God loves you
and because He loves you He is in a good mood towards you. When you are in love are you in a
bad mood towards the one your in love with? No never! Especially if you are God and have no
defects of character because your primary character is love.
Trait 2- There is no bad in God and God has nothing to do with bad/sin/ or darkness of any kind.
Here is what Gods Word says on this truth.
James 1:17- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the
heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
1 John 1:5- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Really think about that scripture. There is NO darkness in Him. Can darkness and light be in the
same place? Then why would we think the devil and God are working together. This is not yin
and yang. This is God who is perfect and a devil who is dark. God doesnt have a list of hitman
on His pay role. Hes God the Father, not the God Father. He is in love with His children more so
even than humans; which brings us into our next trait and Truth.

Trait and Truth 3- God is our Father
God is our Creator first off. So parallel this to the natural. If you create a car do you take care of
it. Yes! And you are in an earthly vessel renewing your mind (For those that have not heard that
turn Romans 12 calls us to replace opinions in beliefs of our old lifeand get what God says
about the world and life in them to replace them). God is not. God is perfect. He made you. He
will take care of you. He has no bad qualities and is not lazy. He will take care of His
possessions. We are Gods possession and children.
John 1:12- But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name.
1 Peter 2:9- But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special
possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his
wonderful light.
Romans 8:15- For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
This could not be more one plus one, but unfortunately many of us have had to relearn or unlearn
if you will bad doctrines of devils that the church has taught. Today we repent and settle on what
God says about Himself for He is the Creator and we are the creation. It is time we listen to what
the Creator says over what man says. (Let God be true and every man be a liar)
*Note- Someone may bring up the question Well is everyone a child of God or just believers.
According to scripture we are all Gods wonderful creation that He is madly in love with and His
prized possessions. We are not all children of God. As we just read in John But as many as
received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
his name. So we must receive Him and we must believe in Him. If not the bible calls us
children of another father. Jesus made this clear in John 8:44- You belong to your father, the
devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not
holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for
he is a liar and the father of lies. And also in 1 John 3:8- He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he
might destroy the works of the devil. Last but not least here in Romans 8:9- You, however, are
not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in
you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. This is not a
popular teaching but this is what Gods Word says and we must grasp the full council of God so
lack of knowledge will not kill us.
This last scripture simply shows the nature of God in the context of prosperity.
Do you want your kids (if you have or did) to be well off and have more than enough?

Proverbs 10:22- The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
3 John 1:2- Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as
thy soul prospereth.
Jerimaih 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of
peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Gods nature is so good He had a plan for us before the foundations of the word to redeem us
even before we chose to fall, because He knows the end from the beginning.
Revelations 13:8- And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not
written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Gods thoughts and what His Word (He) says about sin in your life Christian.
Hebrews 8:10- For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities
will I remember no more.
Isaiah 43:25- I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not
remember thy sins.
God does not point out your sins ever! How could He ask you to be no longer conscious of sins if
He points out every thought or action thats ungodly?
Hebrews 9:14- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered
himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
And a witness to this verse is Hebrews 10:2 about not being conscious of sin.
2 Peter 3:9- You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if
indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do
not belong to Christ.
One of the best ways God has given us to know His nature is His names that describe who God
truly is. Here we have them:

YAHWEH-JIREH: "The Lord Will Provide" (Genesis 22:14)
YAHWEH-RAPHA: "The Lord Who Heals" (Exodus 15:26)

Would God ever desire bad things to happen to teach you a lesson?
Would God ever give you a disease?
Would God ever make you poor?
Would God ever accuse you of sin?
