This training session is about putting literacy in
its place - outside. W e explore practical, manageable ways of developing literacy skills and knowledge outside with children. This includes ways of beginning the creative writing process, using poetry, considering vocabulary development, comprehension and even grammar outside. Being outside brings literacy to life. We also look at creating literacy-rich outdoor environments - led by the children's ideas and interests that celebrate nature and the world around us.
