Military Tactics and Technology are the Grammar of Politics.
This is evidenced by the
Age of Revolutions and supported by Clausewitz, when the average citizen could possess a weapon equal to that of the average infantryman- who was little different than the infantryman except in training and dress. This was changed by the ultimate anti-personnel weapons of the late 19 th century and the 20th century, the machine-gun and the tank, which the average citizen and infantryman are powerless against. In this light, horses like those used to conquer the Pannonian Basin are symbols of military elitism and social power- since the two were indivisible for the warlords of the middle ages.
