ABTRACT

Global climate change had been change periodicity summer season and rain season whole
impact to the water level of the dam area experiencing gauge readings low. This study also aims
to determine whether the measures that should be taken to override the shortage of water,
especially during dry season. Scarcity water problem due to prolonged drought and rainfall in
moderation causes the dam have a problem of drought and water gage readings low. In addition
to the study and analysis of monthly rainfall to see trens or pattern of rainfall by climate change,
especially during of drought.Record distribution of rainfall from two stations that Bekok Dam
and Sembrong of department Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS) for a month in April is raised and
analyzed in accordance with amount of annual rainfall.Comparison has been made by two such
stations. Further, the results of the analysis of annual rainfall in the time scale was found that all
stations have shown a downward change in the number of rain gauges and experiencing low
reading from time to time.

INTRODUCTION

Water is arguably planet earths most precious commodity. Without it, life on Earth will
cease to exist. However, in the last century, numerous factors have led to Earths freshwater
supply being stressed and exploited by the human race. As a result, scientists have warned that a
global water crisis is looming in the twenty-first century that will impact all living things. Water
crisis refers to the status of water resources relative to human demand since the 1970s to the
present. Water crisis means an area experiencing water supply problems. For example, there are
some areas in which experienced water rationing for several months due to the water crisis. The
main source of water crisis shortage of water resources is increasing world population, especially
in the 20- century demand and consumption is high. In addition, air pollution is the cause of the
water crisis. the development of the manufacturing industry, farming, agriculture pollute the
water in the river. Indifferent attitude and irresponsible human waste into rivers honeycomb. The
long drought and global warming also contributes to the lack of clean water sources as well as
lead to water crisis

OBJECTIVE
Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the problems that occur in the area of the
empangan Sembrong and Empangan bekok.

1. To examine areas experiencing drought problems in Malaysia

2. To identify areas with water problems
3. Identify the causes of water problems.

STATEMENT PROBLEM

Therefore, based on this phenomenon should be viewed critically the factors that led to
the incident. This applies whether the water crisis due to lack of water in our country, it did not
rain (drought) or the contamination of river water quality. According to him, this problem occurs
because the incidence of prolonged drought causing water levels in the two dams suffer from low
gauge readings during the month. The water crisis is not happening because of poor
infrastructure, but in fact it happened because of dry environment scene and watersheds dry.
Sembrong Dam area (No 1931425 stations) and Bekok Dam (No 2030071 stations) in April. we
can see the water experiencing low water levels this situation all the more alarming when water
crisis showed how difficult the user to continue daily activities without sufficient water.
