INFORMATIONS AND TECHNICAL DATA

1.1. MACHINE LOAD

Motorpump load and unload on transport vehicle, must be done by means of an elevator truck having a suitable capacity. Forks must be parallel and symetrical to wheel axle. To the aim of stabilize the machine on trasnsportation means , it's necessary to lower support feet and to block the wheels with suitable wedges or to fix the machines with ropes. In case of need, it's possible to disassemble drawbar, wich could be easily assembled after the machine has been unloaded. We recommend package elimination before to start the motorpump use.

1.2 .

LIGHTING

Machines it's arranged for working during the day. When motorpump is used with insufficient day-light, it's necessary a separated illumination source.

1.3. FORESEEN WORKING CONDITIONS

Correct use of the machine is with the employ of irrigation water. (On specific enquiry we can supply pump for sewage distribution).

1.4 .

MACHINE TOW

Machine tow must be done at not more than 10 Km/h.

1.5. MACHINE POSITIONING

To avoid great damages to motorpump, it's necessary to follow the below mentioned instructions:

- position the machine on a not floored area , and in an horizontal position (see engine manual).

- lower suppor feet to the earth, discharging completely machine weight on tyres, which function is to damp vibrations.

1.6. MACHINE PRESERVATION AND STORAGE

machine without tyres 1.6. MACHINE PRESERVATION AND STORAGE When the machine is to be taken out

When the machine is to be taken out of service for a certain period of time, it's advisable to empty the pump from water and fill with antioxidant oil the internal parts. Further every 2 months, it's necesssary to start pump for at least 1 minute. Other specific maintenance operations are included in engine and pump manuals. For uses different from irrigation, follow regulations in pump manual

RECOMMENDATIONS ON PREVENTIONS TO DAMAGES DUE TO AIRY NOISE Operator has to stand near the machine

Operator has to stand near the machine only the period of time it takes for starting and regulations. In case it's necessary to remain near the machine an extended period of time, it's obligatory the use of individual prevention device like head and/or earphone plugs.

2.4. MACHINE DESCRIPTION

Motorpump is composed of an endothermic engine which operate by means of a coaxial elastic joint an horizontal centrifugal pump.

Motorpump unit can be mounted on a truck having incorporated fuel tank or on a fix base-frame, or on a truck with separated

tank.

Truck is provided with tyres, dawbar and towing eye.

SAFETY DEVICE

The "emergency stop" in machines including safety panel (see safety panel manual) is obtained pushing suitable button and laying key on "O" position. In case safety panel is not included in the machine, the "emergency stop", is obtained acting on engine quick stop lever (see engine manual).

2.7. NOT ALLOWED FUNCTIONS

For operator safety reasons, never use the machine in a not sufficiently airing room.

Not allowed functions are the following:

-Pumping of liquids different from fresh, clear, chemically and mechanically not aggressive -Pumping of liquids having a solid concentration higher than 0-20 g/m3 (see punp manual) -Pumping of liquids having a temperature higher than 70-90° C. (see pump manual) -Pumping of infiammable liquids -Operation in places with a classified risk of explosion -Operation in enclosed-spaced conditions -Operation in anomalous conditions respect to an endothermic engine.

3. USE AND MANAGEMENT

3.1. MANAGEMENT AND CONTROLS

-Control the cleanliness of engine heat-exchangers (water radiator, oil radiator) see engine manual -To discharge tank from oily deposits or from water, use suitable drain plug in the reserve-cup. -Periodically check transmission joint's slack (see pump manual) -Change engine-oil, antifreeze liquid, air filters, oil filters, fuel filters, (see engine manual): strictly follow eliminations rules in force.

3.2. MAINTENANCE

Usual maintenance and repairs operation, must only be carried out by specialized personnel. Maintenance repairs and cleaning operations must be done when machine is in stop position.

3.3. SPARE-PARTS MANAGEMENT

For repairs ever use only original spare-parts. For engine: contact the nearest service-center (see attached service-center list) For remaining components contact directly SCOVA SPA or your nearest zone retailer.

3.4. WARRANTY

General sale-conditions governing all products manufactured by SCOVA SPA, are also valid for the product in object. In particular, remember that one of the essential conditions for recognition of warranty is compliance with all the individual instructions given in the enclosed documentation and the best hydraulic and electrotechnical provisions, fundamental condition to ensure motorpump regular operation. Malfunction caused by wear and/or corrosion is not covered by warranty. Before warranty recognition, the product must first be examined by our technicians. Failure to comply with the instructions contained in the documentation supplied with the product, shall void all guarantee form and responsibility of SCOVA SRL.

3.5. MOTORPUMP DISMANTLING (OUT OF SERVICE)

Motorpump dismantling must be done carefully, compliyng with local rules and regulations relevant to dismantling and also to all regulations contained in the attached manuals.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

4.1. OPTIONALS

On specific enquiry, motorpump unit can be equipped with following fittings:

- Plate type cluth: its function is to disconnect pump during engine starting and heating (see engine manual). - Lifting winch for suction pipe: it makes easier the positioning of suction pipe as follows:

.

place the arm in desired position.

.

couple suction pipe to lifting bracket connected with winch cable, clamping the fixing screws.

.

lift pipe by means of the winch and place it in desired position.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY USE

4.3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY USE Attention It's important to consider that electrolyte is a diluted solution

Attention

It's important to consider that electrolyte is a diluted solution of sulphuric acid: in case of contact with skin, rinse immediately with lots water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately than consult a doctor. Batteries generate flammable gas which , if primed, can cause battery explosion. Precautions Installed battery: avoid generating sparks during installation, removal inspection, start-up using jumper cables and auxiliary battery or devices. Avoid open flames or cigarettes near the battery. Battery charging: make sure you connect correctly the battery to the charger ( + with + , -with-). Charge in a well-aired room, without using excessively high currents. Avoid all sparks, open flames or cigarettes near the battery ; - don't rest metal tools on the battery; - Keep everything out of reach of children. FOR DRY CHARGED BATTERIES Charging instructions for dry charged batteries:

1. Remove all plugs, and fill the elements with sulphuric acid for batteries with specific gravity of 1.27 gr/l. (approx. 31° be') at a temperature of at least 10-15 °C, fill untill the level is about 10-15 mm. above top edge of the separators.

2. Leave battery to soak for about 30 minutes and then tap off, if necessary.

3. Now battery can be put into use.

4. We recommend to charge battery for a few hours especially if the vehicle will not be regularly

used and the outside

temperature been lower than O° C.

Charging is to be made at the rate of 5-10 Amps. for lorry-tractor batteries, having a

capacity up to than 100 Ah. and at the rate of 10-20 Amps. for lorry-tractor batteries, having a capacity over 100 Ah. When fast or booster charging, time can be reduced to 20-30 minutes. In this case temperature must not exceed 45-50 °C. Control this, stopping charge or reducing charging rate as required. Periodically check battery liquid level, filling with distilled water if necesssary.

Never add sulphuric acid. Deteriorated battery getting rid: lead-batteries have to be getting rid, suitable to specific rules in force.

4.4. RESIDUAL RISKS WARNING

Never exceed max. working pressure showed on proper technical schedule, check this using the manometer mounted on pump.
