#STARSANDCARDS

The Astrology of Tarot

By Amelia Quint of The Midheaven

Introduction

Last year, I started an Instagram series with the hashtag #STARSANDCARDS. Nearly every
day I posted one tarot card, its astrological counterpart, and how you can use that connection
in your own readings.
Id used these correspondences casually in my practice and thought it would be a fun way to
align my favorite sacred arts. However, before this I had no idea how inextricably tied together
tarot and astrology truly were, and how much my understanding of one would enhance the
other. More than that, I could never have imagined how much this practice could (and would)
help the community understand themselves. You amazed me every day with your insights!
Thats why I created this book. Now all the astrology and tarot alignments are right here in one
place, and you can refer back to it as often as youd like.
If youre new to #STARSANDCARDS, I encourage you to write your astrological placements
by the corresponding tarot cards as you read through the book. Reflect on them. Let them
simmer. You might be suprised what you find.
Have fun, and happy reading!
All my love,
-A
PS- I love hearing from you! If you have any discoveries or ideas you want to share, drop me
a line right here.

The Fool
Uranus
This pair has a penchant for rebellion. Note that The Fool is standing at the edge
of a cliff; like Uranus, hes at the cutting edge of innovation. Both are futureoriented and herald a fresh (if abrupt) start.
When this card comes up, its time to think about your big vision and consider
how you can make your work as original as possible. Not sure where to start?
Check out your own Uranus sign and any planets close by in your chart. For
example, somebody with Uranus in Scorpio may want to reflect and hone their
intuition as they move ahead.

The Magician
Mercury
What do The Magician and Mercury have in common? Theyre both about
turning your thoughts into reality. Theyre are connected to manifestation, plain
and simple.
If this card shows up in your reading, look to where Mercury is in your chart or
by transit for a clue on how to accomplish your goals. Someone with Mercury
in Aries would benefit from a fiery, direct approach, while a Mercury in Taurus
person may do better going slow and steady.

The High Priestess

Moon
The High Priestess corresponds to beautiful Lady Luna. Like the moon, she is
Artemis, Hekate, and Isis, the embodiment of magic and mystery. The moon
and the High Priestess are signals to listen to your intuition, pay attention to your
instincts, and nurture yourself. Not sure what form of self-care is right for you?
Check out your moon sign! Moon in Gemini people need mental stimulation in
order to relax. Others, like the Pisces moon, need spiritual connection in order
to feel comforted.

The Empress
Venus
The beautiful Empress is associated with Venus, the zodiacs love goddess.
Surrounded by a lush harvest and seated on luxe cushions, she encourages
you to think about love, beauty, and what you value. When this card comes up
it can be a signal to pamper yourself, or to get in touch with your inner muse.
Not sure how to please your muse? Do your Venus sign and youll feel inspired
in no time. Venus in Virgo types need simple elegance, while Venus in Leo
people want flash and extravagance.

The Emperor
Aries
The Emperor is associated with Aries, the warrior of the zodiac. Like his martial
counterpart, hes dressed in armor and outfitted with symbols of authority. Both
represent a call for you to step into your personal power. When The Emperor
comes up and you arent feeling particularly confident, look to your Mars sign
for inspiration. A Mars in Capricorn person may be bolstered by achievement,
but a Mars in Pisces needs a creative outlet in order to feel powerful.

The Hierophant
Taurus
The Hierophant is associated with Taurus, the deep-rooted second sign of
the zodiac. Both call attention to how you operate in the material sphere.
Ask yourself: whats limiting you? How can you work the laws of the natural
universe to your advantage? When you draw The Hierophant, reconnect with
your favorite rituals and traditions. Start by checking the house Taurus occupies
in your chart to see where youre most grounded. Taurus in the sixth house
means youve need steady daily habits in order to thrive. Eighth house Taurus
people are grounded in their intuition and instincts.

The Lovers
Gemini
Its only fitting that The Lovers is associated with Gemini, the cosmic twins;
however, whats not always obvious is the fact that they both represent the
importance of communication in decision making. The Lovers stand at a
crossroads, and the Garden of Eden imagery suggests that whatever happens
next will seriously alter the future of everyone involved. Pulling this card is a
strong indicator of a tipping point or fork in the road, but where do you turn next?
Look to what house Gemini occupies in your chart to help plot your course and
communicate your needs. Seventh house Gemini needs a peaceful transition,
while a second house Gemini needs physical evidence before making a choice.

The Chariot
Cancer
The Chariot may not seem to have much in common with Cancer at first glance,
but both carry the message of alignment with your souls purpose. Though the
two sphinxes on the card are facing opposing directions, the charioteer must
keep them in sync if he wants to move ahead. In the same way, Cancer helps
you use your instincts and intuition to become aligned with your true self. If you
feel like youre being pulled from all sides or not making progress, look to the
house Cancer occupies in your chart for guidance. For example, if youre a
Cancer rising, moving your body may help you feel more harmonious.

The Strength
Leo
Strength is linked to Leo, the courageous fifth sign of the zodiac. Leos (or
people with strong Leo energy) have a reputation for bravery, but they can
be equally as extravagant. Strength was originally called Fortitude, which
was one of the 4 Cardinal virtues. To have Fortitude was to have mastery over
your animal desires. When this card comes up, you may be feeling extremely
passionate about something, so much so that it might run wild if left unchecked.
Want to channel that passion? Look at the house Leo occupies in your chart.
For example, Leo in the ninth house channels their passion through writing,
traveling, and self-inquiry.

The Hermit
Virgo
The Hermit is connected with Virgo, the focused sixth sign of the zodiac. Virgo
rules health and habits, and she knows the importance of self-care. In the same
way, The Hermit is a call to withdraw from your daily grind and go within for
rest and recovery. If youre looking for a more nourishing daily practice, look
to the house that Virgo occupies in your chart for ideas. If you have Virgo in the
tenth house, youll need an invigorating career and strong personal brand in
order to feel good.

The Wheel of Fortune

Jupiter
The Wheel of Fortune is linked to Jupiter, the planet of luck. Its an apt association:
Jupiter rules gamblers, and while hes usually associated with good fortune, we
must remember that the wheel may or may not turn in our favor. Both represent
the infinite possibilities your path may present to you at any given time. Still,
if youre looking for a stroke of good fortune, your Jupiter sign is a great ally.
Jupiter in Taurus may be lucky in material arts (painting, design, or adding a
touch of beauty wherever you may go), while Jupiter in Gemini has a knack for
wordsmithing.

Justice
Libra
Justice aligns with peace-loving Libra, the seventh zodiac sign. Both symbolize
balance, but more importantly they reveal how you relate to others. Libra rules
relationships, and likewise, Justice is a reminder of the laws of karma and the
importance of treating everyone we meet with love and respect. Want to know
how to best relate to others, or whats most important to you in relationships?
Check out the house Libra occupies in your chart. A third house Libra places
a high value on words and conversations, while a ninth house Libra prizes
freedom and truth above all else.

The Hanged Man

Neptune
The Hanged Man is linked to Neptune, the planet of spirituality and dreams. Like
the figure on the card, Neptune signals the arrival of fresh insights from unusual
places or positions. In a reading, The Hanged Man encourages a mystical
approach to your situation. If youre not sure how to activate your intuition, look
to your Neptunes sign and house for ideas. Neptune in Sagittarius in the first
house means that writing or moving your body will bring you into alignment
with your instincts.

Death
Scorpio
Death corresponds to Scorpio, the sign of transformation. Both illustrate the
eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth. When you draw this card, ask yourself:
where are you ready to rise from the ashes? Check the house Scorpio occupies
in your chart for your answer. For example, a sixth house Scorpio would
daily rituals and habits to help them enact changes and connect with their
inner phoenix. Or, a twelfth house Scorpio may find serving others to be a
transformational experience.

Temperance
Sagittarius
Temperance is connected to Sagittarius, the wisdom-loving ninth sign of the
zodiac. Sagittarius rules expansion, and he encourages you to try new things
and get outside of your comfort zone. Both Temperance and Sagittarius are
alchemists at heart. Likewise, Temperance is about combining disparate things
in new ways to create something amazing. Want to know where youve got a
natural Midas touch? Check out the house your Sagittarius occupies. Second
house Sagittarians have a knack for abundance, while third house Sagittarians
have a silver tongue. Wheres your Sagittarius?

The Devil
Capricorn
The Devil is associated with Capricorn, the ambitious tenth sign of the zodiac
Both have a tendency to stagnate in their quest for perfection. However, that
doesnt have to be the case. Dont forget that the symbol for Capricorn is a goat,
and the cloven-hoofed Devil himself is a mutation of the lusty goat god, Pan. As
such, sometimes this card can be a call for you get embrace earthly pleasures...
ahem. To find out where you need to balance structure and wildness in your
life, look at the house Capricorn occupies in your chart. Capricorn Midheaven
people are very driven and use structured plans to get to the top, but they also
benefit a good glass of wine to unwind at the end of the day (dont we all?).

The Tower
Mars
The Tower corresponds to fiery Mars. Both act as agents of change, no
matter how uncomfortable. Theyre the necessary catalysts you need to move
forward. If The Tower comes up in a reading, check out your Mars sign to see
how to approach the inevitable change. Mars in Pisces people take s mystical
approach, while Mars in Taurus needs to feel grounded in their physical body
as they step into the fray.

The Star
Aquarius
The Star corresponds to visionary Aquarius. Both are hopeful, future-oriented,
and focused on the greater good. Much like The Star, Aquarius represents the
sometimes unexpected ways in which life can change for the better. If The Star
shows up in your reading when youre lacking inspiration, look the the house
Aquarius occupies in your chart for ideas on how spark your creative flame
A third house Aquarius might write it out in a journal, while a fourth house
Aquarius could create or spend time in sacred space to get things flowing.

The Moon
Pisces
Surprise! The Moon does NOT correspond to Lady Luna in astrology. Instead,
The Moon is associated with ever-mysterious Pisces. As with Pisces, this card
heralds divine dreams and intuitive hits. Because Pisces is so spiritually focused,
people with a lot of Pisces energy need reminders to ground in the real world.
Similarly, The Moon says things may not be as they seem, so be on guard.
Trying to navigate your own underworld journey? Look to the house your Pisces
occupies for some illumination. Sixth house Pisces people need a daily mystical
practice, while a fifth house Pisces thrives when given a creative outlet.

The Sun
Sun
The Sun corresponds to.. you guessed it... the sun! Just as the sun is the center of
the solar system, so the sun is the center of your birth chart. Its the point around
which everything else revolves, your life purpose. This card is a reminder, both
to get centered in that purpose, and that youre already doing an amazing job
walking in your truth. When this card comes up, check out the sign and house
of your sun to see where youre most naturally radiant. Keep on shining!

Judgment
Pluto
Judgment is associated with Pluto, the ruler of karma and rebirth. Both serve
as a wake-up call wherever they are present. When this card comes up, youll
likely be in the midst of your own phoenix cycle. Not sure how to rise from the
ashes? Look at the sign and house of your Pluto to see how you innately deal
with profound change. Ninth house Pluto people deal by delving into wisdom
teachings, while a seventh house Pluto needs intimacy.

The World
Saturn
The World corresponds to Saturn, the planet of discipline and limits. You may
also notice the symbols of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius)
in each corner. While this card does herald the successful completion of a cycle,
astrologically its about learning to thrive within structure. Restrictions can foster
creativity, and with this card thats definitely the case. If youre trying to learn
how to dance within the structures of your life instead of feeling boxed in, check
out your Saturn sign and house! People with Saturn in Sagittarius find ways to
expand within their limits (constant study, traveling), while Saturn in Capricorn
people focus on how the current struggles are pushing them towards future
achievements

Ace of Cups
Water
The Ace of Cups is the embodiment of water, the element of emotion. Cancer,
Scorpio, and Pisces are all water signs. They share a certain sensitivity, innate
intuition, and connection to their emotions that makes them natural artists and
healers. In the same way, the Ace of Cups signals a renewal with respect to
love, art, and/or spirit. When this card comes up, look to where you have water
in your birth chart for inspiration on how to make the most of that opportunity.

Two of Cups
Venus in Cancer
The love goddess expresses herself beautifully in nurturing Cancer, helping
budding love partnerships and friendships grow, and hopefully flourish! If
youre asking about a new lover, friend, or business partner, this card means
youve got a good thing on your hands. That relationship could prove to be
very emotionally healing.

Three of Cups
Mercury in Cancer
Always an excellent host(ess), Mercury in Cancer communicates by showing
those around them a good time and creating a sacred social space for others
to feel loved. In the same way, Three of Cups shows three women toasting,
dancing, and witnessing each other through having what looks like a hell of a
good time! When this card comes up, remember that fun + community are both
essential to your spirit.

Four of Cups
Moon in Cancer
The moon rules Cancer, so her vibes flow well here... sometimes too well! True
to her changeable nature, Moon in Cancer can cause moods to fluctuate. In
the same way, the man on this card looks disappointed or anxious. Moon in
Cancer is also extremely intuitive, so pay attention to your instincts. Like the
invisible hand offering the cup, sometimes the best opportunity lies in whats
unseen. When this card comes up, listen to your intuition, pay attention to your
moods, and be attentive to whats not readily apparent.

Five of Cups
Mars in Scorpio
Mars was the traditional ruler of Scorpio before Pluto was discovered, so
his energy flows well here. Most interpretations of this card focus solely on
loss, but on a deeper level the cups on card symbolize the cycle of death and
rebirth. Loss makes space for gain. When this card comes up, take a Scorpio
approach for best results. Spend time in reflection, and dont get caught up in
toxic situations or self-sabotage. Instead, try a little magick. After all, Mars is
the planet of will!

Six of Cups
Sun in Scorpio
Scorpio has a reputation for brooding, but its also a sign of pleasure. Similarly,
this card represents satisfaction, enjoyment, and happy news. Scorpio also rules
karma, and this card can also signify meeting someone youve met during past
lives or an otherwise karmic relationship. When this card comes up, examine
the deep emotional bonds in your life. What are those closest to you teaching
you? Also, how can you open yourself up to pleasure? Fun can be healing now.

Seven of Cups
Venus in Scorpio
Scorpio is known for magnetism, and when the love goddess visits, her energy
is twice as seductive. Here, we see a figure whos transfixed by the siren call of
his daydreams. Theyre alluring, but illusory. When this card comes up, focus
less on the idea of what you crave and more on how you can turn it into reality.
Scorpio is excellent at manifesting big dreams and working between worlds to
create change!

Eight of Cups
Saturn in Pisces
These two influences dont fit together so well: Saturn rules structure, while
Pisces rules flow. When you combine them, you get a uncomfortable loss of
illusions. When this card comes up, you cant fool yourself anymore. Its time
to face reality, harsh though it may be. This influence can also mean getting
serious about your spirituality, or embarking on your own heros journey.

Nine of Cups
Jupiter in Pisces
Jupiter was the traditional ruler of Pisces before Neptune was discovered, so
hes at home in this dreamy sign. Ive heard this called the wish card, and
cosmically speaking, there couldnt be a better description! Pisces rules the
imagination, and lucky Jupiter here says that if you can imagine it, you can
make it happen.

Ten of Cups
Mars in Pisces
Ten of Cups and Mars in Pisces are about allowing your feelings to guide you
towards your goals. Emotions, meet willpower. The Ten of Cups also activates
the imagination: when it comes up, creativity and soul will be much more
effective than traditional avenues. Tend to your spirit first.

Page of Cups
Water
The Page of Cups corresponds to each of the water signs (Scorpio, Cancer,
Pisces) in their purest form. She is imagination, romance, and connection to
soul. Like the sensitive water signs, shes attuned to her emotions. The Page
of Cups is a message to feel your way through a situation, and to take a
lighthearted approach. Everyone has water somewhere in their chart, so this
card is a reminder to activate those areas.

Knight of Cups
Pisces (or Scorpio)
Knight of Cups aligns with Pisces, the dreamy twelfth sign of he zodiac. Like
Pisces, this card is the harbinger of romance, creative inspiration, and intuitive
hits. He reminds you that its okay to chase your hearts desire and imagine
exhilarating possibilities for your life. When this card comes up, look at where
Pisces is in your birth chart for a clue on how to move forward.
Some decks attribute Scorpio to the Knight of Cups, and sometimes I resonate
more with that interpretation. Scorpio adds a layer of taboo and temptation to
the mix. Meow!

Queen of Cups
Cancer (or Pisces)
The Queen of Cups corresponds to Cancer, the serene fourth zodiac sign.
Cancer symbolizes femininity, so this queen is at her best when shes at her most
receptive, soaking up the sensations all around her. Shes nurturing, spreading
good vibes everywhere she goes. The Queen of Cups is the most grounded of
the watery court, since Cancer rules ancestry. When this card comes up, give
the house Cancer occupies in your birth chart s little extra love.
Some decks attribute Pisces to this Queen. As Pisces, shes a mystic at heart,
letting her imagination guide her steps.

King of Cups
Scorpio (or Cancer)
The King of Cups corresponds to Scorpio, the intense eighth sign of the zodiac.
Both are embodied in the depths of the ocean and your psyche, where whole
ecosystems exist in darkness. Theyre not afraid of the taboo. This King and
Scorpio are intimately familiar with the tidal nature of feelings, acknowledging
that constant change is necessary to life.
Ive also seen Cancer attributed to the King of Cups, which I resonate with too.
As Cancer, this King provides a sacred emotional space both for others. Hes
a gracious host!

Ace of Swords
Air
The Ace of Swords is the embodiment of air, the element of the mind,
communication, and conflicts. Both air and the suit of swords are inherently
rational, so if this card comes up, take some time to mentally process and think
your situation through logically. Be glib, detached, and charming for best
results. Most importantly, pay attention: this is the card of breakthroughs and
clarity at last!

Two of Swords
Moon in Libra
Libra is ruled by luxurious Venus, so when Lady Luna transits there its a reminder
to nourish yourself both physically and emotionally. Like the blindfolded woman
here, youll want to go within for answers. A retreat could be helpful. This woman
is also balancing two swords, a reminder of the importance of patience. When
this card comes up, ask yourself what may be out of balance in your life, and
what nurturing acts may bring things back into their natural rhythms.

Three of Swords
Saturn in Libra
Ill be honest: its taken me four whole days to post this card here, because it makes me so
sad. But I think the corresponding astrology this card has helped me come to terms with it,
and I hope it helps you too.
When the planet of restriction visits the sign of relationships, its never comfortable. In fact, it
can be painful. However, its important to remember that Saturns presence can help you cut
out everything that isnt working for you anymore and start fresh. Also, Saturn leaves rewards
behind when his work is done, so when this card comes up, know that this is happening so
that something blissful and beautiful can come your way. Youll have to work for it, but
youve got it in you, and it will be worth it.

Four of Swords
Jupiter in Libra
Harmony is healing. Libra rules love and beauty, so when Jupiter transits there
it expands your need for loveliness. pretty things are nourishing now. Take a
retreat from your everyday life and fill your mind with inspiration, whether in
the form of art, music, food, or anything else that speaks to you. The muse is
everywhere! Also, Libra rules partnerships, so this card is also a sign that its
okay to reach out if you feel like you need help. Dont go it alone.

Five of Swords
Venus in Aquarius
When the love goddess transits the sign of disruption, feelings can get hurt. This
card is a reminder to call upon one of Venus in Aquariuss best traits: healthy
detachment. Approach the situation rationally and dont take things personally.

Six of Swords
Mercury in Aquarius
With the planet of communication in this visionary sign, expect a welcome
change of pace. After the conflict of the Five of Swords, youre able to transition
towards a more positive state of being. Mercury rules travel, so this card may
signify a literal trip, retreat, or message. Yes, please!

Seven of Swords
Moon in Aquarius
Though this card can certainly be interpreted as thievery or deception, it can
also symbolize a deep need to go against the grain. Moon in Aquarius is
nourished by acting outside of whats expected and keeping a certain level of
detachment from the woulds and shoulds of life. When this card comes up, ask
yourself if theres something in your life that could use a more radical approach.
Shake things up!

Eight of Swords
Jupiter in Gemini
Jupiters home sign, Sagittarius, is opposite Gemini, so hes not the most
comfortable here. The good luck planets naturally expansive nature gets
distracted and overwhelmed by Geminis myriad options, leading to analysis
paralysis. The woman on the Eight of Swords appears to be bound in a
dangerous situation, but her bindings and blindfold are already loose. When
this card comes up, youve got to make a choice. Shake off whats holding you
back and expand your notions of whats possible.

Nine of Swords
Mars in Gemini
Gemini can represent nervous tension, so when Mars transits this sign it can
leave you feeling panic or anxiety. The good news with this card is the stress
youre feeling is probably in your mind (for the most part), since Gemini rules
your thought process. The key to overcoming this anxiety, much like with the
Eight of Swords, is to take action instead of worrying. Remember: you can take
charge of your destiny.

Ten of Swords
Sun in Gemini
Gemini is the cosmic messenger, and this card represents the capacity of words
to hurt and to heal. Theres a sense of loss, betrayal, and finality here: once
somethings been said, you cant take it back. Still, the golden sunrise in the
background shows that healing is possible. Gemini is the storyteller archetype,
and this card is a reminder that you get to choose what stories you tell about
your life. What will your story be?

Page of Swords
Air
The Page of Swords represents the essence of air. Air is the element of the mind
and rules how you think, learn, and communicate. Its the visionary archetype.
The Page of Swords can be a reminder to speak your mind, or an invitation
to take a more academic approach. Sometimes it can mean starting a new
program of study. When this card comes up, keep an eye on the air sign people
in your life, because they may have an important part to play.

Knight of Swords
Gemini (or Aquarius)
Knight of Swords corresponds to Gemini, the future-oriented third sign of the
zodiac. Theyre the quintessential idea people, noticing trends before they
start and leading culture with their latest epiphanies. Geminis arent afraid of a
spirited debate, and witty banter turns them on.
Other decks attribute Aquarius to the Knight of Swords. I definitely resonate with
that interpretation, since Aquarius is known for being visionary and forwardthinking.

Queen of Swords
Libra (or Gemini)
Queen of Swords aligns with Libra, the zodiac sign of beauty, harmony,
and justice. This sign has a reputation for romance, but the air element here
emphasizes Libras love of balance. She is nothing if not fair, and takes no shit
from people who want to disturb the peace!
Queen of Swords is also associated with Gemini in some decks, which I love.
As Gemini shes a fascinaing conversationalist and knows how to tell a good
story.

King of Swords
Aquarius (or Libra)
The King of Swords corresponds to Aquarius, the futuristic eleventh sign of
the zodiac. Think of him like Mr. Spock from Star Trek: rational and seeking
truth above all else. When this card comes up, a healthy dose of detachment
is needed. Approach the situation like a science experiment, curious but not
attached to a particular outcome.
Sometimes Libra is attributed to the King of Swords, which I also love. With this
connection, hes the diplomat, ambassador, and host with the most.

Ace of Wands
Fire
Confession: the Ace of Wands is one of my favorite cards in the deck! In
astrology, its the embodiment of of fire: vitality, creativity, passion projects,
purpose, and anything else requiring vim and vigor. Think about the fire signs
(Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) when this card comes up. Vibe pioneering,
generous, and expansive.

Two of Wands
Mars in Aries
Mars is at home in fiery Aries, so this is a good omen! Though the figure on
the card is standing still, the real focus is on action. Mars and Aries are both
associated with warriors, so when this card comes up its a message that you
need to strategize and choreograph your next move. Fight the good fight.

Three of Wands
Sun in Aries
Three of Wands corresponds to Sun in Aries, the fiery first sign of the zodiac.
The Sun moves into Aries at the spring equinox each year, a time of creativity
and new beginnings. When this card comes up, youre at the beginning of a
journey, surveying new horizons. Ask yourself, whats ready to grow in your
life? How can you nourish it and help it flower?

Four of Wands
Venus in Aries
With pleasure goddess Venus in the sign of her lover Mars, the sacred marriage
(or Hieros Gamos) takes place. Here, love and beauty are reborn anew. When
this card comes up, something in your life is coming to beautiful completion,
and its time to celebrate!

Five of Wands
Saturn in Leo
Saturn is the planet of ambition, and in Leo he revels in competition. The figures
on this card are keeping up their skills by engaging in a sparring match. How
can you hone your skills? This card is a message that youre a serious contender,
or have the capacity to be! Courage looks good on you.

Six of Wands
Jupiter in Leo
When these two happy-go-lucky energies align, let the good times roll! Its a
celebration of achievement. Whatever youre asking about? Its going to be
victorious! Get ready to be acknowledged for your hard work. You deserve it.

Seven of Wands
Mars in Leo
The message here? Take decisive action! Leo is nothing if not brave, and
combined with warrior Mars he can take on any challenge. When this card
comes up, think about how you can set yourself apart from the crowd. Mars in
Leo loves the spotlight, so this card may be calling you to become more visible
in all aspects of your life.

Eight of Wands
Mercury in Sagittarius
When the messenger god visits expansive Sagittarius, things take off, and fast!
Suddenly your work gathers momentum. This sign rules publishing and Mercury
rules communication, so when this card comes up it would be a great time to
release a creative project! Both Mercury and Sagittarius love travel, so this
could also signal an opportunity to get out of town.

Nine of Wands
Moon in Sagittarius
The highly sensitive moon isnt the most comfortable with Sagittariuss natural
candor, so this card can find you with hurt feelings after an argument. However,
the wise centaur is the symbol of Sagittarius. These mythical creatures were well
known in Greek mythology as teachers and healers. In that spirit, this card is
calling you to learn from your feelings. What might they be trying to teach you?

Ten of Wands
Saturn in Sagittarius
Saturn constricts and Sagittarius expands, so together they make an awkward
pair. However, the key to mastering this combination is to give the naturally wild
nature of Sagittarius some structure. When this card comes up, youll need a
concrete goal in order to succeed. When you have something to work towards
(like the town in the distance), youll be able to motivate yourself to carry that
heavy load across the finish line.

Page of Wands
Fire
The Page of Wands (like the Ace of Wands) is the embodiment of fire. Shes the
spark of an idea that ignites into a booming business or passionate affair! Think
of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. What ties them together? Theyre all audacious
in the pursuit of what they want. Dare. Be bold.

Knight of Wands
Sagittarius (or Leo)
Knight of Wands aligns with Sagittarius, the free spirited ninth sign of the zodiac.
Both crave adventure and spontaneity, and they speak candidly... maybe too
candidly at times! This card is a reminder to expand: outside your home base,
outside your comfort zone, and outside what you believe is possible.
Others associate the Knight of Wands with flashy Leo, which I love! As Leo, this
knight encourages creativity + passion. Ooh la la!

Queen of Wands
Aries (or Sagittarius)
Queen of Wands is associated with Aries, the feisty first sign of the zodiac.
Like Aries, she knows exactly what she wants and isnt afraid to go after it. This
queen, like Aries, is pioneering, ambitious, and a little rebellious. When shes
on a mission, dont get in her way!

King of Wands
Leo (or Aries)
The King of Wands aligns with Leo, the performer of the zodiac. He and Leo
are nothing if not charismatic, and their innate magnetism makes them excellent
leaders. Theyre also playful, and need their work to be fun. If this card comes
up, think about how you can step more into the spotlight.
Some decks also associate the King of Wands with Aries. As Aries, he shares
many similarities with The Emperor: hes a boss, doesnt take any shit, and is a
warrior for his work.

Ace of Coins
Earth
The Ace of Coins (also called Pentacles) is the embodiment of earth. Its the
foundation of everything, the cosmic nest egg. Coins and earth represent
the material world as a whole, and are also connected sensuality and being
grounded. When this card comes up, channel the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo,
and Capricorn) and be practical. Consider what structures your new idea
needs to succeed, and start building!

Two of Coins
Jupiter in Capricorn
Carefree Jupiter and serious Capricorn make an awkward pair that requires
a well choreographed dance between levity and responsibility. When this
card comes up, make work hard, play hard your mantra. Channel Jupiter in
Capricorns irreverent enthusiasm for getting shit done, and youll be set.

Three of Coins
Mars in Capricorn
Mars is exalted in Capricorn, so this card is a sign that youre on the right track!
The energy here is all about getting down to business. When this card comes
up, youve got the mojo to make your ambitions a reality (with some careful
planning, of course!). Put your head down, do the work, and youll be amazed
at what you can accomplish.

Four of Coins
Sun in Capricorn
Sometimes this card gets a bad rap, but I think its a great representation of the
best of Capricorns vibe: grounded, focused, and secure. Hes in a protective
pose, which is a reminder of Capricorns ability to persevere on rocky terrain.
When this card comes up, be ambitious, but not to much so that you close
yourself off. Stay open.

Five of Coins
Mercury in Taurus
For a long time, the Five of Coins was among my least favorite cards in the
deck. I dreaded pulling it... that is, until I discovered its astrological meaning!
This card aligns with Mercury in Taurus. When the planet of our thoughts meets
the sign of value, issues of carcity consciousness arise. The good news is that its
likely you have more options that you think. Look for nearby beacons of light.
Stay hopeful. Make a practical plan.

Six of Coins
Moon in Taurus
When the moon is in Taurus, you need security to feel nourished, and its
easy to want to hold back or act based on fear. When this card comes up, try
generosity instead. As they say, to give is to receive! Be grateful for what you
have, and count your blessings. Think about what you can give that doesnt
cost any money. What skills, talents, and knowledge do you have to offer the
world?

Seven of Coins
Saturn in Taurus
Venus-ruled Taurus loves luxury, so austere Saturn can be an awkward fit
here. The good news is that with Saturns hard work and dedication, youll be
rewarded with a luscious harvest in due time. Be patient, and youll reap what
you sow!

Eight of Coins
Sun in Virgo
Your secret to success when this card comes up? Take the Virgo route, tending to
routine and attention to detail. Instead of just getting it done, use those hours
to lovingly craft your art. Devotion pays off. Get lost in your work. Embrace
creative flow.

Nine of Coins
Venus in Virgo
Venus rules beauty, and in detail-loving Virgo, she bestows an appreciation
of the finer things in life. Surrounded by a lush garden and earned riches, this
card recalls the splendor of The Empress; however, with Virgo in play its clear
shes had to work for it. This wealthy woman stands in her own authority and
appreciates all shes built for herself. When this card comes up, celebrate your
accomplishments and allow yourself a few well-deserved luxuries.

Ten of Coins
Mercury in Virgo
Mercury rules Virgo, so this is another excellent omen! Here, we see
communication flowing in perfect harmony. Mercury and Virgo are both natural
storytellers, and this one has a happy ending. Theres a legacy component here
as well. What story fo you want your life to tell? Virgo is also associated with
service and healing, so ask yourself how that legacy will serve and heal those
around you.

Page of Coins
Earth
The Page of Coins is the embodiment of earth: style, focus, and single-minded
devotion. Like Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, the Page of Coins is motivated by
material success and beautiful things. When this card comes up, take a moment
to recalibrate your focus and make sure youre centered on the right goal. this
card is also associated with learning, so also ask yourself what concrete steps
you can do to hone your skills. Earth signs know the importance of appearance,
so bonus points for doing it with flair. As they say, Dress for the job you want,
not the job you have!

Knight of Coins
Virgo (or Taurus)
Both the Knight of Coins and Virgo are contientious in their approach. This
Knight is standing still, surveying the terrain before he moves forward. In the
same way, this card says make a steady plan of action and follow it.
Some decks associate the Knight of Coins with Taurus, which is just as fitting.
Knights are the romantics of the deck, and in lovely Taurus the Knight of Coins
is the tall, dark, and handsome suitor. Think Don Draper.

Queen of Coins
Capricorn (or Virgo)
The Queen of Coins is associated with Capricorn. This ambitious sign knows
how to make money, and in the same way, the Queen of Coins knows how to
nuture and grow her assets, both financial and otherwise.
Other decks align this Queen with Virgo, which I love. In Virgo, the Queen of
Coins loves everything in its right place. She makes admin sexy and knows that
efficient operations lead to more cash in the long run.

King of Coins
Taurus (or Capricorn)
The King of Coins aligns with Taurus. Taurus is the sign of pleasure, and some
link the King of Coins to Dionysus, Greek god of wine and revelry. Yes, this
king is wealthy, but he also knows how to enjoy that wealth. Nows the time to
indulge, even if it feels extravagant.
Some decks attribute Capricorn to the King of Coins. Capricorn sits at the top of
the zodiac wheel, and in the same way, the King of Coins sits at the top of his
career. His ambition has been richly rewarded, and if you follow his example,
so will yours!
