2. Coaching Style
There are three styles of coaching is also a force in the leadership of someone. As a coach is also a
leader of the leadership style can be used as a coaching style. Three styles of coaching are as follows: I. autocratic Coach (Authoritarian or command style)
II. Laisser-faire (Casual or Submissive)
III. Democratic (Personable or co-operative)

4. Process Coaching
i. collecting data

Collect all the relevant data that can help you design a program for the season. When you collect the
data that has changed the whole coaching process will also change.
ii. diagnosis
All the data collected and the diagnosis should be obtained before starting to write programs for the
respective season.
iii. Prescribe plan of action
Designing a plan or program of training to achieve specific targets to be achieved
iv. implementation
Implement what was planned
v. valuation
It is important to evaluate each training program implemented for the purpose of keeping a record of
what was done. Any matter which appears to stray from the path of the planned or is less effective
should be corrected immediately to achieve the intended objectives.
5. Understand Career Coaching
Career criteria are:
i. The cerebral activity
ii. practical
iii. Facts and new ideas result of research
iv. Managed by himself
v. Exists for the good of others

Qualities Of Good Coach


1. Reasonable flexibility and receptivity to attitudinal changes in society that affect youth.

2. An ability to understand and to cope with the problem and concerns of athletes.
3. A well-organized, logical, and rational approach to coaching which fosters mutual respect among
the entire community.
4. An ability and willingness to communicate with team, parents, teachers, administrator, and the
public.
5. Good judgement in the appropriate use of motivational techniques, particulary those having to do
with encouragement, inspiration, and confidence.
6. A humanistic and ethical philosophy which emphasize fairness, friendliness, and firmness.
7. An ability to innovate and to project within a sport setting and to envision any consequences to
the total school environment.
8. Emotional stability and self-control in highly sensitive and involved situation associated with
sports.
9. An ability to achieve aducational objectives through the patient use of direct methods.
10. An excellent example in word, deed, and appearance.
11. An appreciation of the artistic viewpoint as related to athletics.
