General Notes to the LV Switchgear Vendor List

1. This Vendor list is issued by Chairman, ADDC Low Voltage Switchgear Committee.
2. Any LV Equipment that is installed in Abu Dhabi need to be prequalified by ADDC, through the LV Switchgear Committee as per the Guidelines
3. All the Pre-qualified Vendors are authorized to supply only the approved product ratings.
4. All the Pre-qualified Vendors are not allowed to supply non approved materials. Failure to comply may result in disqualify of their name from the Vendor list.
5. The above approval does not relieve the Contractors in complying with RSB guidelines and ADDC standards that are applied to the LV products.
6. This Vendor list will be updated periodically by the Low Voltage Switchgear Committee.
7. Validity of the Prequalification issued for a Vendor is for period of three (3) years from the date of issue of the approval letter issued by the LV Switchgear Committee, unless otherwise
specified.
8. It is the responsibly of the manufacturer to comply with any updated IEC standards that would be released during this period by means of additional test as required.
9. Any malfunction or repeated faults during this period may lead to the disqualification of the approved products.
10. All breakers (both incoming and outgoings) shall be restricted to the components used in the type test.
11. All breakers used in the switchgear shall be type tested separately by the manufacturer as per the latest IEC standards.
12. The ADDC approved Vendors of the Final Distribution Board are authorized to assemble and supply the Consumer Unit provided that they use the same cross section of the type tested
final DB except the fact that it will be a single bus bar construction. Separate prequalification is not required for the consumer unit.
13. ADDC LV Switchgear Committee advice all Vendors of LV Switchgear shall comply with the latest IEC 61439 standard.
14. It shall be the responsibility of the Supplier to propose the most appropriate products which are prequalified and that suit the application of the end user. Certain prequalified products
may not be suitable for special applications and end users are advised to clarify the same with suppliers.
15. Any Vendors who are not included in this list and hold a valid approval from ADDC Low Voltage Switchgear Committee which is issued at a later date to the publication of this Vendor list
are also authorized to supply their approved products in Abu Dhabi. Their name will be added in the next revision of the Vendor List.
16. All approved panel assembly must align the main horizontal busbar at the top of the panel if the panel is installed in the basement of the building. Separate approval from ADDC Inspection
Section must be obtained in all other cases.
17. It is the responsibility of approved manufacturers/suppliers to keep their customers aware of the special conditions stated in the test reports that restrict the use of the approved materials
at different connection environment.
18. Any discrepancy in the prequalified products description shall be notified to the ADDC Low Voltage Switchgear Committee in the following Address.
