abouttheirpassioninapassionproject.Priortothisunitstudentshaveafirmgrasponthetwopasttensesin
Spanishandwearepracticingtheseheretoworktowardsproficiencyinnarratinginthepast.Thevocabulary
focusesonpassionsandovercomingobstacles,aswellasbookspecificvocabulary.
Leadinguptothissummativeassessmentinthepresentationalmode,studentswillhavedoneanumberof
activities.Thebookwillbefinished.Thestudentswillhavealreadylearnedaboutnarratingpasteventsbytelling
classmatesaboutapersontheyfoundwhohadovercomeobstaclestopursuetheirpassion.Theyalsowillhave
alreadyparticipatedinpassionexplorationactivitiesbytakingpassionquizzes,watchinghowtosofdiscovering
onespassion,readingaboutwaystoovercomeobstacles,andasking/answeringquestionspertainingtopassion
discovery.Theywillhavecomparedandcontrastedtypicalpassions/hobbies/activitiesofstudentstheiragein
Spanishspeakingcountriesandlookedforcommonthemesofinterestsincertaincountries.Studentswillhave
analyzedmanydifferentsituationsandhadweekstopracticetheseskillsthereforetheywillbereadyforthis
summativeassessment.
