COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Guided by the values of faith, Zeal for service and communion, this subject provides introductory skills and knowledge about methods of research and
its application to students everyday life. The students will be taught and will be guided on getting started in doing a research paper. Research II reviews the
various methods of research, some basic statistical designs and procedures, and the different parts of these also explores possible research problems by
individual students. The course output is a baby thesis consisting of Chapter 1 ( Problem and its Background), Chapter 2 (Review of Related Literature and
Chapter 3 ( Methodology and Research design), Chapter IV ( Presentation and Interpretation of data) and chapter 5 ( Conclusion and Recommendation).
The Thesis proposal will be presented before the class in mock defense and consequently graduate colloquium at the end of the course. The student will
present the completed rersearch study and defend it before a technical research panel.

II.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course the students will be able to:

III.

Explain the meaning and value of research.

Formulate research Design.
Evaluate and organize research materials relevant to the problem under consideration.
Demonstrate diligence and thoroughness in conducting research work.
Exemplify the habits and characteristics of dedicated researcher.
Show appreciation for the value of research documents by taking good care of and preserving research document.
