Course Description

The course provide the knowledge of mathematical modeling of


systems. It draws upon the knowledge of differential equation
and physic rules to convert the physical system to ordinary
differential equations. The system equations are used for analysis
of the system properties and its response to time and frequency
domain inputs, where upon the control techniques are developed
for the desired system response.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:


1. Prepare to interpret physical dynamic systems in mathematical
realization. And demonstrate to them its importance for control
system design
2. Develop accurate models for dynamic electro-mechanical
systems.
3. Analytically and numerically solve for the transient and steady
state response.
4. Design the system parameters to achieve a desired response.
5. Explain what the requirements of control system are and how
the mathematical modeling of dynamic system helps to design
the control system

Transferrable Skills

Students are required to work individually or in a team on


solving real engineering problems by modeling and Analysis of
dynamic systems. The students will be learning to use the skills
to design and develop control techniques for dynamic systems.
