CAD features

PriMus-CAD is a 2D/3D DWG CAD.

Easily draw common drawing entities by using the classic 2D and 3D CAD
commands, (for example: lines, polylines, arcs, circles, blocks, hatches,
splines, 3D poyilines, meshes, face, 3D face solids).
The same interface and drawing procedures as other well known
professional CAD solutions the same commands can be used by keyboard
input too.
PriMus-CAD saves a native DWG file (can be opened and managed by other
CADs).
PriMus-CAD saves and opens the DXF AutoCAD format (from release 2.5 to
release 2010) and in the DWG AutoCAD format (from release 11/12 to release
2010).
With PriMus-CAD, you can also open DWG files created and saved with
AutoCAD 2012.
Complete compatibility with AutoCAD commands line, menu (MNU) and
script files (SCR), hatches, fonts and true type fonts.
Also manages complex linetypes.

CAD & Takeoff features

With PriMus-CAD, each entity (line, polyline...) can represent a measurable entity.
The graphical entity can represent different meanings in relation to the kind of detail or project that the designer
is drawing (architectural, road, drainage, etc); for example, a line can even stand for various types of walls,
pavements, roads, drainage systems, etc.
For each of these drawn entities, the CAD is capable of returning automatically all metric data useful for
obtaining dynamically the Bill of Quantities completely integrated within the program interface.
PriMus-CAD is equipped with advanced filters that allow the user to verify the correct correspondences between
the drawing entities (lines, arcs, etc.) and the BoQ.
Furthermore, with PriMus-CAD it is also possible to check the correspondence between the drawn entity and
the measurement rows contained with the BoQ: by selecting the measurement row in the BoQ section, the
corresponding graphical entity is also selected in the drawing. Any editing of the drawing causes a dynamic
updating of the Bill of Quantities. The obtained BoQ can then be saved in the DCF format and managed with
PriMus, PriMus-P or PriMus-DCF.
All of the information contained in the drawing (drawing entities and Quantity data) are saved within a single
DWG file. The DWG file, generated in such manner, can then be managed with any other software compatible
with this format; only if opened with PriMus-CAD can the Bill of Quantities information be managed and viewed.

WYSIWYG interface: PriMus allows users to work as easily as on a

sheet of paper or a form, inserting descriptions and measurements.
Object technology: Quantities, Price Lists and Work Progress
Statements are simply different views for one single compact file.
Price Lists in your Estimate with Drag and Drop: the video is a
virtual desktop where the user can open Price Lists, estimates and
other documents to view, add, edit or copy data from one place to
another with simple Drag and Drop operations.
Data Compatibility: your Estimate, created with PriMus can be saved
in standard formats, and the data produced is open to everyone,
exchangeable with anyone. In addition, you can export to Excel format
(2007 and 2010).
Acquisition of metric data from the drawing: dynamic interaction
between the estimate and the project designed with AutoCAD and
AutoCAD LT; you can transfer the dimensions or block attributes
directly from the drawing to the estimate having both PriMus and your
design program open on screen and dynamically linked together.
Printing Documents: each view can become a Printout which can be
customized directlty from the preview; documents can be printed in
RTF, WORD, PDF, HTML, ASCII, DB and DBF formats.

Software overview

PriMus-DCF is a free software to create and share FREELY Price

Books, Price Lists, Estimates and Bills of Quantities.
Based on the DCF standard format, it is the ideal tool for
exchanging documents related to an estimate being equipped
with the basic functionalities of PriMus of which it retains its
reliability and simplicity of use.
The estimate that becomes an object: PriMus-DCF allows
you to completely overcome the problem of data exchange
and compatibility. Anyone can download the free software
and manage data in the DCF format produced by PriMus or
by PriMus-DCF. Together with the data, the software for its
management can also be exchanged and distributed.
PriMus-DCF is a freeware for managing estimates which can be
integrated in other softwares (for example other ACCA software
solutions for calculations or design that incorporate the estimating
features of PriMus-DCF), this also allows PriMus-DCF to operate
in a web browser to manage data published on the internet
(websites or personal web spaces like cloud storage).

PriMus is the first APP for estimates and bill of quantities developed for the
APPLE iPad platform. With this application your iPad becomes even more useful
and professional: you can carry out part of your estimating activities on-site
wherever you are taking mesaurements, or whenever you need to continue your
bill of quantities preparation and management even out of the office.
