Range: 120 feet
A beam of crackling energy streaks toward a creature wit
hin range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On hit, the target tak
es 1d10 force damage.
The spell creates more than one beam when you reach high
er levels; two beams at 5th level, three beams at 11th level, and four beams at
17th level.
You can direct the beams at the same target or at differ
ent ones. Make a separate attack roll for each beam.

+X to your eldrtich blast accuracy, +X to your Save DC checks (c
onsidering many warlock spells are Save or Die, a huge boon), and a free recharg
e of a spell slot, once a day. Very nice.
Even if you're a Heavy Weapon blade, there's very little reason
to not be excited to find one; you can always use an extra spell slot a day, the
n put the rod down.
Wand of the War Mage (Uncommon to Very Rare)
A sister wand to the Rod of the Pact Keeper, this particular ite
m grants +X accuracy with magic attacks, and ignores half cover, making it much
more suitable than the Rod to fire into melee,
and bypasses the entire reason to pick up Spell Sniper. That sai
d, unlike the Rod, it doesn't increase spell save DC, nor give you a spell slot.
If you're using your spell slots
purely out of combat, and relying solely on Eldritch Blast, this
is probably better than the Rod. However, given that you'd be passing
up on some potent spells to do just that, its actually a loss fo
r your character - not all fights can be solved with Eldritch Blasts

Eldritch Blast
Eldritch Blast (Sp): The first ability a warlock learns is eldritch blas
t. A warlock attacks his foes with eldritch power,
using baleful magical energy to deal damage and sometimes impart other d
ebilitating effects.
An eldritch blast is a ray with a range of 60 feet. It is a ranged touch
attack that affects a single target, allowing no saving throw.
An eldritch blast deals 1d6 points of damage at 1st level and increases
in power as the warlock rises in level. An eldritch blast is the equivalent
of a spell whose level is equal to one-half the warlock s class level (rou
nd down), with a minimum spell level of 1st and a maximum of 9th when a warlock
reaches 18th level or higher.
An eldritch blast is subject to spell resistance, although the Spell Pen
etration feat and other effects that improve caster level checks to overcome spe
ll resistance also apply to eldritch blast.
An eldritch blast deals half damage to objects. Metamagic feats cannot i
mprove a warlock s eldritch blast (because it is a spell-like ability, not a spell
). However,
the feat Ability Focus (eldritch blast) increases the DC for all saving
throws (if any) associated with a warlock s eldritch blast by 2
ELDRITCH ESSENCE INVOCATIONS
A warlock can apply only one eldritch essence invocation to a single eld

A warlock can apply an eldritch essence invocation and a blast shape inv
ocation (see below) to the same blast.
When a warlock uses both kinds of invocations to alter an eldritch blast
, the spell level equivalent is equal to the
spell level of the eldritch blast, the level of the eldritch essence inv
ocation, or the level of the blast shape invocation, whichever is higher.

Vitriolic Blast
Greater Invocation; 6th; Eldritch Essence
This eldritch essence invocation allows you to change yo
eldritch blast into a vitriolic blast.
A vitriolic blast deals acid damage, and it is formed fr
conjured acid, making it different from other eldritch essences
because it ignores spell resistance. Creatures struck by
vitriolic blast automatically take an extra 2d6 points of
acid damage on following rounds. This acid damage persis
for 1 round per five class levels you have.
For example, a 15th-level warlock deals 2d6 points of ac
damage per round for 3 rounds after the initial vitriolic blast attack.

Hammer Blast

he blast deals normal damage to objects, rather than half.

Repelling Blast

This eldritch essence invocation allows you to change yo
ur eldritch blast into a repelling blast. Any Medium or smaller creature struck
by a
repelling blast must make a Reflex save or be hurled 1d65
feet (1d6 squares) directly away from you and knocked prone by the energy of th
e attack.
If the creature strikes a solid object, it stops prematu
rely, taking 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet hurled, and it is still knocked pr
one.
Movement from this blast does not provoke attacks of opp
ortunity.

Subduing Blast

al hp damage, allowing you to incapacitate your opponents rather than kill them.

attacks to great distances. Eldritch spear increases the range of an eldritch bl

ast attack to 250 feet with no range increment.

Eldritch Doom
Dark Invocation; 8th; Blast Shape
This blast shape invocation allows you to invoke your el
dritch blast as the dreaded eldritch doom. This causes bolts of mystical power t
o lash out and savage nearby targets.
An eldritch doom deals eldritch blast damage to any numb
er of targets designated by you and within 20 feet.
This is not a ray attack, so it requires no ranged touch
attack. Each target can attempt a Reflex save for half damage.

Eldritch Cone
Greater Invocation; 5th; Blast Shape
This blast shape invocation allows you to invoke your el
dritch blast as a 30-foot cone. The eldritch cone deals the normal eldritch blas
t damage to all targets within the area.
This is not a ray attack, so it requires no ranged touch
attack. Any creature in the area of the cone can attempt a Reflex save for half
damage.

Eldritch Chain
Lesser Invocation; 4th; Blast Shape
This blast shape invocation allows you to improve your e
ldritch blast by turning it into an arc of energy that jumps from the first target
to others.
An eldritch chain can jump to one or more secondary targ
ets within 30 feet of the first target, allowing you to make additional ranged t
ouch attacks and deal damage to the secondary targets if you hit.
You can jump the chain to one secondary target per five ca
ster levels, so you can strike two additional targets at 10th level, three addit
ional targets at 15th level, and four additional targets at 20th level.
Each new target must be within 30 feet of the previous o
ne, and you can t target the same creature more than once with the eldritch chain.
If you miss any target in the chain, the eldritch chain attack ends there.
Each target struck after the first takes half the damage
dealt to the first target. This reduction in damage to secondary targets applie
s to any effect that increases the damage of your eldritch blast (such as vitrio
lic blast).
You must make a separate spell penetration check for eac
h target, if applicable.
