Good to come up close to the stage; try to minimize as many distractions as possible ;

we'll be trying to forge a connection between you and an object in rl the spoon before
you
Men think epilepsy divine, merely because they do not understand it... We will one day
understand what causes it, and then cease to call it divine. And so it is with everything in
the universe.
Hippocrates
This will connect you with peace, make you peaceful.
How?
Three things: it will make you be more aware of the universe, nothing more and
nothing less; it will help you see the quantum coherance and great love that is
between all things.
A friend who saw me do this describes it this way; bending spoons is like removing
the keystone from a huge arch; remove it and all the other concepts of an
atomistic woprld order - in personhood, in politics, in nature - just come
tumbling down and you realize that truly all that is left is love.
This is not just words to live by; it is something reliable, predictive, testable.

1. Dont exercise the day of the event

2. eat chocolate (1-3 hrs prior) if you can tolerate it
3. meditate (1-2 hrs prior)
4. procure a good solid stainless steel or silver piece of "flatware" that is not an heirloom;
actually it is better if it is new and has not absorbed many people's energy yet

5. please remember, results are not guaranteed

6. here is an example of my work: the fork is actually busted, the tines turned; the knife
was once a regular flat butterknife http://imgur.com/GvOUX and

While we are sitting, some useless information about me:

A working astrologer in Boulder, I am excited to share one of the more distinctive, even
gross, of her experiences in self-aware energy work, the "bending of spoons."

My sincere hope is that you:

a. Succeed.
b. Appreciate and enjoy a memento of the power of your own energy field.
c. Share what you learn.

i want to say that only 10% or so of first time students will succeed. those are the numbers
from previous classes, and there are claims of other methods having higher success rates.
You should definitely first have confidence to do this all the way through, and be ok with
committing to the whole thing even if you don't "succeed" the first time. Even i do it maybe
only 50% of the time that I try and it has been a year or so since I last tried. You can always
take this information and practice at home where there is zero pressure, save that coming
from yourself, and hopefully that can get to a point where even that is minimized.

1. The very thing NOT to do let's get it out of the way now, the very thing NEVER
to do is to try to bend the spoon without first feeling the melting sensation
perhaps you are trying to test-bend it right now; and you find the spoon as stiff
as ever, seemingly never to be bent; let this be the last time that you do that;
once we get started, you MUST wait until you get the bending/melted sensation
and ONLY then to bend it; this is very essential.

2. Thoughts are theives. This is from a lecture I once went to where a great swaami
was speaking; I know it's hard, after all I'm speaking to you, a new person,
speaking in a strange accent, about a strange subject; but you've got to maintain
innocence, openness, willingness NOT to rationalize what I am saying

3. Why after all are we doing this? It's psychic gym class; the ultimate point is not
to have a bent spoon in your possession you will soon find that to be tiresome
and expensive; it's what you can do with the energy focus/control and
awareness that ultimately counts.

Spoon bending is definitely a curious thing, makes you wonder what we are doing when we
touch eachother, how much power is being transmitted by holding hands; you will never
consider petting an animal as the same thing again; in fact, if you succees, you will likely
never consider anything as being the same thing again; that said there also is a wonderful
plainness to it; a dullness to having done it; chances are, you too will not want fame or
money or any such thing either from doing it, because it basically is easy and a consequence,
a weird totem ... of relaxing, so it's in that way no big deal...
Once you start walking in balance, awareness and focus, this ability to bend spoons will start
to seem like the least interesting of the new things you can do, see, and relate to -- it will
take a while to get to that latter state, perhaps 3 months, perhaps a year, but as my guru
memorably said, at least you got on the plane today.

One last word before we begin: alcohol is just not a good idea here for this practice.
nothing against alcohol in general. For example, I do drink on ocassion. I just think for this
chakra or chi gong kind of work that alcohol inhibits the process. Even being here as a
witness, if you have had some alcohol, I think it is better if you do not stay.
if you want a good website to follow, with videos and everything, check out forkbend.com;
i'll type it in chat- i basically agree with them on everything and so would rather send you
to them than compromise my privacy further by posting videos of myself, ok?
First off, im not a psychic, at least not any more than the regular public, more or less; i
dont own this; i just was given it basically for free by an official psychic named Maureen
Caudill -and I want to spread it to as many people as i can, simply because it is so
empowering.

The Spiritual:
---------------------------------

karaagre vartate lakShmIH kara-madhye sarasvatI |

kara-mUle sthitA gaurI ma~ngalam kara-darshanam ||

prayer to Saraswati in the hand

look at your hand - place both of them together - bend in namaste

-------------------------

1 It kind of goes without saying that your spoon or other utensil should be quite
sturdy. Nowadays, they sell spoons that are quite flimsy, that can be bent
naturally by anyone. Those obviously would not be any fun.

2 So if you have a flimsy easily bendable spoon or fork, you may want to check for
that now, and if you do you can get up and get a thicker one. If you want a real
challenge, maybe try bending a butterknife for example. regardless It would be
good if the utensil is the kind that feels right now like it would be impossible to
bend by hand. just so it's clear that you are really doing this. Spoons are definitely
easiest, so if you would rather not stack things against yourself on the first try, use
a spoon.

3 Eyes can be kept open

4 Dont be surprised if your hands get hot; mine regularly are but the heat level goes
through the roof with this.

5 We can meet and all discuss by voice our experience at the end of the hour. Please
try not to vocalize and disturb the focus of others if you do succeed.

6 Even though I am spoon bending with you; I can answer questions afterward. We
will be quiet for about 25 minutes.

7 If you are gripping the object so tightly that it is digging into your palms AT ALL
then you are simply holding it too tightly - this whole activity should be easy,
smooth, gentle, fluid, but certain.

8 Remove your phone from your body; the reason being that I find that EMF's
(electromagnetic fields) from the phone inhibit this sense of a coherent generating
field that we will be creating- these are all real phenomena, so to speak - you can
measure emf's from the computer with a device from radio shack or whatever.

9 Everybody ready? some of this will be repeated, but not all of it

10 What we are about to do is fundamentally an exercise in Chi Gong but one in
which there is a souvenir afterward; that's it.

11 put your feet on the floor; loosen any clothing restriction; ground yourself
We will be in balance, awareness and focus.

Feel your balance

Do you really feel your balance in your chair? Imagine welcoming someone inside your
home of your body; if someone who can enter your body feel your balance? Imagine
showing the person where in your body is your balance-- in your back/? in your hips? in
your chest? Move on to awareness, same thing, can a theoretical someone who entered
your body and mind feel your awareness? feel your sense of focus?

As a source for this energy, imagine a golden light coming down from above;
coming through the crown of your head ; a plentiful waterfall of golden light
coming down from way up high and coming out through your hands.
Imagine completely in your mind how you would like your spoon to be - imagine
completely non-physically which way it will bend, and by how much; You are paving the
way for your intention.

12 Bow to everyone in the room either literally or in your mind; rub your hands
together, keep going until you feel a LOT of heat... now place your hands in front
of you about 6 inches apart like you are tossing a ball directly between one hand
to the other; now picture a blue ball flowing from one hand, catching it in the
other, tossing it back again; this step is essential, essential - that you get this ball
going between your two hands back and forth, back and forth, back and forth;
quiet your mind while you do this- think as little as possible; you can not really
continue to the next step unless you have this step going...

13 now the blue ball is going to turn into an x ray, so gently place object between
fingers or palms - actually I place mine at the parts of the palms close to the
fingers; feel the blue ball STILL going back and forth, back and forth; from one
hand to another; while it is going through your object - make sure you can detect
the xray in your hands through the object; keep going; keep going; it may take
many minutes of this to get to the next step

14 when the melting feeling happens try to bend it in a smooth fluid motion without
thinking, if it feels like it freezes up again, just go back to no mind, nevermind it,
and keep on flowing the energy ball between your 2 hands and through the object;
it takes me 20 minutes or so of this flowing energy between my hands to get the
object to bend - it may take you more time - it may take you less; some people can
do it immediately, some like me take up the whole time; we will be here until the
end of a half hour; when it does feel somewhat melted, you will want to apply
gentle consistent pressure like the bending of a plastic spoon; you do not want to
apply so much as to snap a plastic spoon; you want to use smooth consistant
gentle even soft but certain pressure

15 what you very much do not want is to test the level of meltedness without first
having the feeling of meltedness; perhaps you are trying to see if it is melted now;
and you find that it is frozen? Well, you have to go back to the beginning of
grounding yourself, rubbing your hands together and so on. -- you absolutely need
to relax and wait for the feeling of melting to come first and THEN try to softly
bend it

16 what i am about to say is a little advanced, but i'll say it anyway; if you are getting
frustrated, try putting your hands and the spoon that is between them in front of
one of your active chakras; so for me this is typically my muladhara and ajna
chakras, which are the ones in my belly button and the one inbetween my
eyebrows; those are the chakras that are most active for me; if you do not know
which chakras are active for you, don't worry about this step

17 last thing, so i once went to a great lecture by a swami; i don't remember anything
else but one thing, and it's a very important thing: thoughts are thieves, thoughts
are thieves, thoughts are thieves; go to no mind, go to innocent mind

18 toss the blue ball back and forth, back and forth, the gentle placement of object
between fingers, the xray from one hand through the object, feeling the xray in
the other hand, returning it; that's all you have to do; the spoon just goes along for
the ride

19 so just remember; thoughts are thieves, thoughts are thieves, thoughts are
thieves; spread the energy between your hands; the energy should be palpably
discernible; back and forth, back and forth, back and forth; spreading a ray of
detectable energy between your fingers and through the object, back to the other
hand, through again back to the other hand, back and forth; it may take time; no
thoughts is the goal; and when the object melts you bend it, without thought,
without fear, without doubt; without pride - it's very simple

20 keep going with no mind

21 dont think just do
22 dont think, just do
23 dont think, just do
24 thoughts are thieves, thoughts are thieves, thoughts are thieves
25 keep going, keep going, keep going

I learned how from a show on Coast to Coast AM, a late night radio
show. That night Maureen Caudill was speaking.
She talked at length about her own experiences as a cognitive
computer science specialist, who went Suddenly Psychic. (Yes, I
later bought the book.)
I was so impressed with her tone, her delivery, I actually listened to

the whole show. It was my first time I stayed for it. Usually Im
turned off, or maybe a little confused, by all the discussion of UFOs
and so on.
Im glad I did this time. It changed my life.
You can still find the .mp3s of that show on the Coast to Coast web
site.
After talking about healing her cat, the second hour was devoted to
step by step instructions on how to bend spoons.
They worked perfectly.
We obviously are not talking about flimsy forks or spoons that can
be bent normally by anyone. That clearly wouldnt be any fun. We
are talking about heavy banquet ware that is not bendable typically.
How did I do it?
Basically, if you know a little Chi Gong, you will find this easy.
Using light pressure, pass your chi through the spoon for at least 5
minutes. This is the tough part.
You will find a moment when the thing feels like it just melted a little
bit. That is your opportunity. With that light pressure, bend the
spoon, or the tines of the fork, or whatever.
Having high psychical energy is pretty necessary. Eating chocolate
helps.
How much physical force is necessary? Very little. If the fork or
spoon or key or screwdriver or whatever were made of plastic
instead of stainless steel or silver, and that hypothetical plastic
object would break with the amount of force you are giving, then
that is way too much physical force.
Your efforts should be gentle and mindless.
Also, be careful of the real world importance of the object. I once
tried to impress a friend by bending a fork that I got out of her
drawer. She was instead upset that her grandmothers heirloom
silver fork was no longer usable. I used my energy to move the

fork back into place. It snapped into two, and she was very
distraught.
Except for that last, quite shameful event, I found this whole thing
to be incredibly empowering, telling us all that the military
technological engineering oriented world is only so much of the
picture.
For example, I gave a spirally twisted spoon to a techie friend for
Christmas. He couldnt unspiral it.
He announced that his engineering education was now for nought
and that he should go to a cave to meditate. Everyone should do
that, says my sister. Indeed, I think a lot can be said for it.
I would be happy too to levitate. That would make me feel good
and inspire the same feelings, but on a larger scale, of course.
Youve got to admit, the concept of the world will change once the
first person levitates publicly. It will collectively rise, same as the
person who did it.*
Yeah, I want to do these things to reach others, to say you CAN do
the scary, the improbable, the incredibly transformative. YOU have
incredible energy. There is no denying it after having done this.
Its my triple Scorpio ascendant, I guess.
But the secret is not to get egotistical. Then all your insight and
power drains out of you. This is what I understand happened to Uri
Geller.
A friend of mine can do it even better than I do. She makes the
tines into spirals. Cool.
Another friend told me, Renay, what would I do with a bent
spoon?
Sure, its just a trick in a way. Theres no reason to do it unless you
want to make jewelry or something, or with levitation, to cross the
street without pushing the button for the light. But it teaches us that
we are not drones of any sort, or as my friend said, it might make
us want to meditate more. It might inspire our lazy selves to vibrate

higher. Hence, despite objections by some, I think it qualifies as

beginners yoga, but I may well be wrong yet again.
*Here are the sobering comments of Vasisthas Yoga (page 313)
about flying (and probably by extension, bending spoons):
Flying in the sky and other powers are natural to some beings, O
Raama. The extroardinary qualities and faculties which are
observed in this world are natural to those beings not to the
sages of self-knowledge. Supernatural faculties (like flying in the
air) are developed even by those who are devoid of self-knowledge
or liberation, by the utilisation of certain substances or by certain
practices. All this does not interest the man of self-knowledge who
is utterly content in himself. They who, in pursuit of pleasures,
acquire these powers tainted by ignorance, are surely full of
ignorance; the sages of self-knowledge do not adopt such a
course.
Whether one is a knower of truth or ignorant of it, powers like flying
in the air accrue to one who engages himself in some practices.
But the sage of self-knowledge has no desire to acquire these.
These practices bestow their fruit on anyone, for such is their
nature. Poison kills all, wine intoxicates all, even so these practices
bring about the ability to fly, etc., but they who have attained the
supreme self-knowledge are not interested in these, O Raama.
They are gained only by those who are full of desires; but the sage
is free from the least desire of anything. Self-knowledge is the
greatest gain; how does the sage of self-knowledge entertain any
desire for anything else?
Fair enough. In so far as this post stimulates discourse (within
myself at the very least) and hence a real part of yoga, Im glad I
did the trick, but honestly and without artifice. The whole thing has
been educational for myself and others. Let it be that.
