I will be graduating in August 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the
University of South Florida. My dream is to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at
Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital because of the hospitals focused commitment to
the care of children. The opportunity to provide skilled, expert nursing care to a specific

My passion for nursing and its challenges is continually strengthened. I have excelled
in both academics and clinical practice, as my 3.6 GPA and clinical performances have
shown. I thrive on the opportunities to make real differences in patients' day-to-day lives
within the profession I find endlessly interesting and rewarding. My clinical experience
working as a nursing student at Bayfront Health gave me the opportunity to work on
several units and care for patients from a variety of medical backgrounds. My recent
preceptorship in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Bayfront Health allowed me to further
develop my patient care and critical thinking skills as a nurse. As a nurse preceptee at a
leading Neuro ICU, I witnessed and subsequently modeled the level of professionalism,
communication, and excellence in practice required for long-term success as a Registered
Nurse.
I am confident that my combination of clinical experience and solid educational
background has prepared me to make an immediate contribution to your NICU as a new
graduate nurse. My professionalism and enthusiastic approach to patient and family care
will provide your unit with a highly compassionate and productive nurse upon
completion of the residency program.
