Your Anger, nor of those who went astray), He
says: This is for My slave, and My slave shall
have what he has asked for.”1
When we recite Surah Al-Fatihah we ask Allah
to guide us to the Straight Way, the way of
those upon whom He has bestowed His Grace.
Who are these people that Allah has
bestowed His Grace upon? Allah tells us more
about these people in an ayah in Surah Nisa’

“…those on whom Allah has bestowed His

grace, the Prophets, the Siddiqin (the truly
faithful), the martyrs, and the righteous….” (Al-
Nisa’ 4:69)

In Surah Al-Fatihah we also ask Allah not to be

upon the way of those whom Allah is angry
with nor of those who went astray.

Who are these people?

One of the companions of the Messenger of

Allah , Adee bin Hatim once asked this
question:
“I asked the Messenger of Allah about
Allah’s saying about, ‘those who have earned
