Protective Enclosure of Exits: The separation shall have at least two (2)
hours resistance rating when the exit connects four (4) or more storeys,
whether above or below the floor of discharge. It shall be constructed of
noncombustible materials and shall be supported by construction having
at least a two (2)-hour fire resistance rating.
Dimensional Criteria for new ramps: (min width) 1120mm; (max slope) 1
in 12; (max cross slope) 1 in 48; (max rise for single ramp run) 760mm
Sec. 10.2.5.10.A.1.B. Fire escape shall provide a continuous unobstructed
safe path of travel to the ground or other safe area of refuge to which they
lead.

Manual of Regulations for Private Higher Education (CHED)
School buildings shall be designed and constructed in conformity with provisions
of the building code. As much as possible, the school buildings:
1. Shall be situated that they are sufficiently far from all fire hazards; Study
can be conducted without undue interference from neighbors and passing
traffic; classrooms, study rooms, laboratories or the library do not interfere
with each other.
2. Shall be adequately planed and constructed
3. Shall be equipped with safety device
4. Shall have enough lavatories for both sexes
5. Shall be adequately lighted and ventilated
6. Shall contain sufficient space, furniture, and fixtures
7. Shall not be used for private residence
8. Shall have an easily accessible and well-furnished, well-equipped library,
as well as administrative offices and faculty rooms
9. Shall have adequately outfitted laboratories
10.Shall have a sufficient area for student personnel service
11.Shall have allotted specific areas for home economics and other voc.
Courses
12.Shall be adequately planned that classrooms and laboratories open to a
corridor, and,
13.Shall, if a multi storey building, have at least two staircases with a
minimum width of two meters, subject to government regulations. Ramps

shall be provided for students with special needs as required by the BP344
Accessibility Law.
