After completing the one year program, what degree will I graduate with?
You will graduate with a 3-year General Bachelor of Computer Science OR a General
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

What is the difference between a Bachelor of Computer Science and a


Bachelor of Science in Computer Science?
The Bachelor of Computer Science has a reduced math and science course requirement
that allows students to enroll in more computer science electives. Both degrees
provide students with the necessary skills to be successful in the industry.

FAQ
After completing the one year program, can I upgrade the three-year
general degree to a four year honours degree?
Yes, students who complete the accelerated program can continue on to the fourth
year of the program and earn a four-year honours degree.

What is the advantage in upgrading to the four-year honours degree?


The four-year honours degree provides you with the opportunity to develop your skills
even further by enrolling in additional classes. It also provides you with the opportunity
to pursue a minor in Computer Games Technology or Mobile Software Engineering.
An honours degree will also provide you with the opportunity to complete a thesis
study and provides you with the necessary credentials to pursue a graduate studies.

What are the tuition fees for the full-year?


The 2015/2016 tuition fees were $11,058. The 2016/2017 fees will be released at the
beginning of the new financial year, on May 1st, 2016.

Is the summer portion of the program OSAP eligible?


Yes, it is! For all OSAP & Financial Aid inquiries, please contact Paul Quesnele in

Is co-op available?
Co-op is available after the accelerated semester, if a student decides to pursue a 4year degree option. Co-op is a full term placement that can be completed during an
academic semester or in the summer months. It is important to note that a co-op
placement would delay the degree completion time.

FAQ
I already have a bachelors degree in another discipline. How do I know if I
am eligible?
Students who have already earned a bachelors degree can qualify for admission as a
second degree candidate. Upon receipt of your transcripts, the Office of the Registrar
will review your eligibility as a second degree candidate. As long as you did not take
more than 18 credits (6 courses) of Computer Science in your degree program, you are
eligible for admission as a second degree candidate.

I have a college diploma in computer science. How do I know if I am


eligible?
If you are graduating from a 2 or 3 year college diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0,
you are eligible for the program and will receive 45 credits (15 courses) of transfer
credit.
