EXPERIENCE
October 2008-Present: City of Austin Treatment Plant worker
• Operates a variety of powered and not powered equipment including, but not limited to: backhoe,
bobcat, weed-eater, vacuum cleaner, buffer, lawn mower, rider mower, front-end loader
• Cleans buildings, offices, and equipment
• Paints, lubricates and cleans equipment and facilities
• Performs minor mechanical tasks
• Performs tasks in confined spaces and/or high heights
• Assists plant mechanics/operators as needed
• Mixes/stirs/pours a variety of solvents/chemicals
• Reads and interprets simple drawings/diagrams
• Reads gauges and meters
• Completes equipment inventory reports
• Adjusts equipment, including chemical feed, as directed
• Checks and operates equipment
• Maintains records, enters, and retrieves data.
• Drives and Keeps daily records data, refills fluids, checks belts, hoses, pumps and safety features on
flat bed trucks, pickup trucks, Toro (lawn mower) and Polaris.
• Works on sprinkler systems. Changes out sprinkler heads, empties grit from flat bed trucks when
they are full, assists mechanics in repairs, replaces wind cones, washes out basin with pressure fire
hoses, picks up parts from supply room and inspects all fire extinguishers.
• Changes out all A/C filters monthly.
• Class A C.D.L's, mechanical and water meter repair, install fire hydrant meter
• Does accuracy for residential P.O.'s and removes/installs 3/4, 5/8, 1" water meters.
• Checks for leaks or stopped meters.
• Reads and interprets meters, gauges and maps.
• Keeps daily records data, checks / refills, changes fluids, belts, hoses, pumps and safety features on
trucks and vans.
• Trains on P.R.V. (Pressure release value) and A.R.V. (Air release value). Confined Space,
Respiratory Protection Program.

a smooth efficient flow of inbound and outbound materials.

facility.

systems.

material handling equipment.
• Orders parts for AWP systems
• Communicates effectively with production counterparts, planners, procurement and outside
vendors to remedy part shortage problems.
