Subject: Reflection Memo

While Preparing my Final Portfolio Project, I revised my previous


assignments and also redesigned my website. I made some
revisions based on the knowledge received in lessons following
the first 3 assignments due dates. Some revisions were also
suggested by my peers. The combination of these alterations
have strengthened my major writing assignments and should
ensure a successful final portfolio. Upon completion of all the
following changes I will post my major assignments to my final
portfolio.
MWA1
For my MWA1 assignment I began with changing my home page
background. I had chosen an image of some luggage and a
commercial airplane. I feel that this background did not fit well
with my previous experience or with my future goals. I worked on
military aircraft and am aspiring to be an engineer so I have now
chosen a more fitting background. The next adjustments were to
my resume. I changed my resume to be in chronological order
instead of the way I had designed it. Most recent information is
most relevant. Next I made sure to include my current degree
path. I had left out my UNM information but apart from including it
in my education sections I will include my GPA. On my Cover
letter I noticed I had added a lot of information about my work
experience but I needed to add more information about schooling
and leadership type of knowledge and also expand on how that
would make me a better fit for employment.

MWA2
For MWA2 the thing that hurt me the most was the lack of a
multimodal component. I failed to include one and therefore
received a low grade. I have created a multi modal component
and will include it in my MWA2. My multimodal component is a
pamphlet that I created which includes information about my
proposed rehab centers. It includes phone numbers and general
information and will serve as an example of the pamphlet we
would make if my proposal was approved. The rest of my
corrections on MWA2 are grammatical errors and design errors. I
fixed a lot of capitalization errors
MWA3
For my recommendation report I started with changing my layout
a little bit. I had used some highlighting under some titles and
that ended up serving as a distraction. Then I made sure I clarified
some of my ideas. I wanted to make sure that my report was
easily understandable. I had used some jargon so I made sure to
use common terms. After receiving comments from the professor I
corrected lot of capitalization errors and also re wrote some titles.
She also noted that I had thanked the readers for their time in the
beginning. This should be moved to the end where it is most
appropriate. I had failed to number my pages in the table of
contents and also on each page so I needed to fix that. Other than
these things I had a lot of information that needed to be added for
clarification.
