I. OBJECTIVES
1. Inform the parents, teachers and pupils the nutritional value obtain from eating
affordable, easily accessible fruits and vegetables in the barangay.
2. Express pupils' perception on the nutrition month focal theme through slogan and
poster making contest.
3. Cook nutritious, attractive and low-cost food with desiccated coconut as main
ingredient to boost ones' appetite.
4. Inculcate the message of the pledge "Panatang Makapalay" to the pupils mind
through harmonious recitation or any artistic presentation.
5. Search for Mr. And Ms. Nutrition Month to increase awareness on hunger issues
by means of costume parade and sayings related to it.
II. Narrative Report
Nutrition Month Celebration is a great occasion that should be given importance as
one of the solutions to the Nation's issue on hunger and malnutrition. School as being the
main ground of children's different activities and molder of youth is the best place to
reach all concerns and spread the nutrition message or increase awareness regarding
hunger issues and the possible solution to gradually solve this problem.
Thus, Balubad Elem. School through its head, nutrition coordinator and staffs made
an action plan and program of activities to materialize the said objectives and solutions.
Successfully, all the indicated activities were done through the participative parents
and pupils as well as teachers. Nutrition Facts or health facts of different accessible and
nutritious food were very informative and clearly delivered by each grade's selected
representatives. They as well presented poem and song that deals with eating vegetables
like the "makulay ang buhay sa sinabawang gulay" . Likewise, slogan and poster making
contest took place the following day. Contestants drew colorful and creative posters and
composed rhyming and legible slogan associated with the theme's celebration.Then,
Cooking Contest was held where parents involved themselves actively and cooked
salivating foods.Finally, the search came about which was started by the parade of
fanciful vegetables and fruits inspired costumes of candidates and informative slogans of
different grades. Preceded by the display of it on the stage and presentation of educational
song, dance and poem related to the theme for the judging or deliberating. Everybody
enjoyed the event and went home with the unforgettable experience with the message of
the nutrition month celebration. Of course all these enumerated activities were done in
accordance with the memo regarding Time-on-Task.
