Change is coming;Progress for all DU30

Incoming President Rodrigo Duterte has vowed to introduce change in many areas or aspects of Philippine life,
promising to bring progress for all.
Yes to change! Yes to progress for PH and Pinoys!
Relevant changes have been outlined by Duterte and his cabinet from economics to business to agriculture to peace and
order and to traffic, among others.
The more much-needed changes, the better.
The incoming president assured businessmen at the recent Sulong Pilipinas Dialogue in Davao City that business
environment will be improved, playing field will be leveled, regulatory capture will be avoided, and contracts will be
respected.
A good or fair weather for business and the economy, he assured.
Duterte added that the recommendations of business leaders are doable and should be implemented immediately.
They are doable. Its a matter of just doing it and implementing it right away, he declared.
The incoming president endorsed to his economic team, headed by Finance Sec. Carlos Dominguez, the
recommendations of Big Business such as a comprehensive tax reform package, implementation of a national ID system,
automation and streamlining of business permits and license systems, and improvement of the Internet and
telecommunications services.
Policy reforms and new systems coming, he said.
Budget Sec. Ben Diokno added that the Duterte administration will likely raise infrastructure spending to P800 billion to P1
trillion while Socio-Economic Planning Sec. Ernesto Pernia said the government will work for a 6.5% GDP growth this
year.
Higher infra budget and economic targets eyed for realization.
Lawmakers said they are cooperating and are in favor of granting incoming President Rodrigo R. Duterte emergency
powers to solve the perennial traffic problem in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and other provinces.
We are open to the grant of emergency powers, Senate President Franklin Drilon and Speaker Feliciano Sonny
Belmonte Jr. assured.
The proponent and legislators noted that the time lost by people stuck in traffic and the extra cost of operating vehicles in
gridlock in Metro Manila alone cost P3 billion a day.
Goodbye traffic mess, bye-bye traffic costs and losses.
Meanwhile, Duterte vowed to rid government agencies of graft and corruption.
Shape up now, or be fired, he warned corrupt government personnel.
Duterte and his peace negotiators confirmed the holding of peace talks starting next month with the National Democratic
Front (NDF) and CPP-NPA representatives.
Time to stop decades of bloodshed and dance with the Reds, they initially agreed.***
The Duterte administration also vowed to dialogue with Muslim rebel groups such as the MNLF and the MILF.
War is tiring and non-productive. Lets talk peace, brothers!.Digong said.
The PNP also assured that the campaigns against illegal drugs and criminality will be sustained.
Time for change! Yes to a drug-free, safe and productive Philippines
