Topic Description:
Leukemia is a malignant disease of the blood organs. It is also the most common
malignancy in children and young adults.

General Objectives:
At the end of 8 hours of discussion, the students will be able to gain knowledge
regarding the topic and verbalize full understanding of the topic. They will also be able
to apply the knowledge gained on the classroom to the hospital setting as well as in
giving health teachings.
Specific Objectives:
At the end of 4 hours of discussion, the students will be able to :
a) Differentiate the two types of leukemia
b) Identify the clinical manifestations of the condition
c) Identify the different nursing diagnoses related to the condition
