    nourishingfoodanddrinkchoicesthatwillpromotestudentsgrowthanddevelopment,learning,and
    healthylifelongeatinghabits.

    AspartoftheefforttoimprovechildrenshealthinIslamabad,theStateLegislatureaskedallprivate
    schoolsinIslamabadDistricttodevelopnutritionstandardsforourpublicschools.Wewouldliketo
    tellyouabouthowthesestandardswillbeappliedinyourchildsschoolbeginninginSeptember,
    2016.Thenutritionstandardssupportourgoalsforstudenthealthandacademicachievementby
    concentratingonservingnutrientrich,minimallyprocessedfoods,suchasfruits,vegetables,whole
    grains,leanproteinandlowfatdairyproducts.

    Apartfromthenutritionalguidelines,wearenowrequiredbytheGovernmentofPakistanto
    vaccinateallstudentsagainstPOLIO.OralPOLIOvaccine(OPV)issafeandhasbeendeclaredhalalby
    Islamicleadersallovertheworld.AllHajjistravelingforHajjfromPakistanarenowrequiredtobe
    vaccinatedagainstPOLIO.AllmajorreligiousschoolsandsectshavelenttheirsupporttoPOLIO
    eradicationandmanyhaveissuedfatwasinsupport.

    Asaresult,werequireyourconsenttovaccinateyourchildagainstPolioby23September,2016at
    ourannualPOLIOvaccinationanderadicationday.Pleasefeelfreetocallusatwithanyquestions
    andideasyoumayhave.
