o describe. Decide a format for speaking: The image/diagram describes <....>. pr

If you can derive some imlication or conclusion talk about that.
Retell lecture
You will see an image and then hear the lecutre. As you see the
image, lecutre starts 3 sec afterwards. You can predict the topic for the lectur
e based on the image.
Note down names, dates, numbers etc. You get 40 secs to speak, c
over all main points from lecture.

Try to answer in one word.
writing : 2

Strictly between 5-75 words. Strictly one sentence. use compound
/complex sentence.
essay
200-300 words. Read excerpt, understand "topic", understand the
issue or main points being talked about the topic. Understand the points of view
being present.
The excerpt will be either agreement or disagreement, or will en
d with a question. Focus on it and present your views, talk about advantages and
disadvantages.

Text is big. Read the question first, analyze the answer based o
n your knowledge, find out the likely answer(s) (predicting the correct one)
and find out from the text the right one.
Multiple choice : multi select
You get -ve mark for missing the correct one, and also for ticki
ng the incorrect one. Use the above technique.
Also in answer choices look for common words e.g adjectives or n
ouns. Search for these words in text, read around
to get correct answers.
rearrange paragraph
Understand the topic. To find the first sentence for paragraph,
find the sentences that can stand alone, then see if it related to the topic,
That will be your first sentence. To find out the standalone sen
tence, see if starts with pronoun, likely it is referring back someone already d
iscussed.
Senetnce talking about definite article ("The person" "The women
") means they are already mentioned previously in the paragraph. Passive ("was f

ound") refers
back. Any sentence which doesnt refer back is standalone and if
it include the topic that will be the first sentence. Afterwards everything will
automatically
link in order.
Reading : Fill in the blanks
Use of collocation: general public, general view. you can discar
d the rest then see which between public and view fits in the context.
Use your english knowledge, whether the next word should be a ve
rb or adjective or anything else. Find the right type and look for it in the opt
ions.
Reading & writing : Fill in the blanks
Read the passage to get the topic, all fill in the blank should
be related to the topic e.g main topic is "change" then fill int he blank will b
e "transform" etc.
Read the surrounding context to get the right answer e.g "gain"
"access" or "acces" "to"... pick the words to match meaning and grammar.
listening : 8
--------summarize
10 mins. 5-70 words. Note down points and main idea from lecture
and use them in summary. Points are on how well the main point is covered.
Also grammar, spelling, vocabulary will fecth points. Make sure
you use words and sentence construct for which you are absolutely comfortable.
Also spend last 1-2 mins reading your summary and correcting thi
ngs.
Multiple choice : multi select
7 secs to read question and options. Based on your understanding
, note down everything related from lecture and then choose the correct answers.
Also based on options you can find ot a common theme and focus o
n that during lecture.
