This document outlines the judging criteria for Round 1 of a competition. It will be scored on a scale of 1 to 10 for the following criteria: problem identification (10% weighting), technical novelty (25% weighting), collaboration (15% weighting), impact (30% weighting), quality of executive summary submission (10% weighting), and quality of presentation (10% weighting). The judges will consider how well the entrants identified the problem scope, included new technologies, collaborated externally, could positively impact the economy by addressing the challenge, clearly communicated benefits in the executive summary, and professionally delivered the presentation.

The degree to which the specific focus for the problem is identified and scoped. TECHNICAL NOVELTY: [Weighting: 25 %] The degree to which the conceptual solution includes new and emergent technologies or new uses for existing technologies. COLLABORATION: [Weighting: 15%] The degree to which the Team involves collaboration with organisations and individuals external to the lead participating institution IMPACT: [Weighting: 30%] The degree to which the successful implementation of the proposed solution has the potential to positively impact the economy and directly addresses the stated challenge. QUALITY OF EXECUTIVE SUMMARY SUBMISSION [Weighting - 10%] The degree to which the Executive Summary provides a clear and concise briefing to an audience of senior executives to solicit investment support with clearly stated benefits derived from the proposed solution. QUALITY OF PRESENTATION: [Weighting - 10%] The degree, to which the presentation delivered a high degree of professionalism, is appropriately pitched to an audience of senior executives, provides a high degree of clarity, and generally portrayed a sound and logical rationale for investment support.
