Classroom Behavior Management

Activity #4
ROUTINE OUTLINE: As students enter the class
1. I would greet students at the door with a positive attitude to set the tone of
the class period for the day. While greeting the students, I would give a
friendly of my expectation to sit in their seats quietly.
2. Once seated, he/she is expected to take out their notebook/journal, pen
and/or book to complete a daily warm-up.
3. The students will have 3 minutes after the bell rings to complete the warm-up
i.e. word sorting activity, matching terms from previous days lesson, a short
paragraph on why one particular school/classroom rule is important and why?
ROUTINE OUTLINE: Before students leave the class
1. Ten minutes before class, I would use the first two minutes to bring the lesson
to a close.
2. The next six minutes would be a review session to check the students
comprehension and retention of the information presented during the lesson.
I could incorporate a vocabulary game (left side of the class vs the right side),
have the students write a quick summary on what they learned, or answer
any questions any students had about the lesson.
3. The last two minutes of class will be utilized for putting away and organizing
class materials used, gathering their own personal belonging and putting
them in their backpack, and disposing of trash.
