Main uses

Extra-deep-drawing
Hot-rolled Steel Sheets
and Strip

NSHX-1
NSHX-2

Compared with conventional deepdrawing hot-rolled steel sheets, they

have much higher formability. Thus they
are suitable for hard-to-form parts.

Compressor covers,
Automobile parts, etc.

High-strength Hot-rolled
Steel Sheets and Strip
with Formability

SANH490
SANH540

They can be used for a wide range of

working from general forming to drawing.

Automotive body
members, wheel rims,
etc.

Dual phase
High-strength Hot-rolled
Steel Sheets and Strip
with Formability

SAFH540D
SAFH590D

They are suitable for drawing because of

their low yield ratio. They have also excellent fatigue strength.

Wheel discs, etc.

They can be used for a wide range of

working from general forming to drawing
and have superior burring property (d/d0
1.8).

Suspensions, links,
arms, etc.

SANH370B

High-retained austenite
High-strength Hot-rolled
Steel Sheets and Strip

SAFH590E
SAFH690E
SAFH780E

Exceeding the limits of conventional

high-strength hot-rolled steel sheets for
automobiles, they have strength and
formability comparable to those of highstrength cold-rolled steel sheets.

Automotive structural
members, floor
members, hard-to-form
parts, etc.

Flooring Sheets

NFP
NFP400

Their slip-preventing effect is the largest

among all the products listed. They drain
quickly, and thin-gauge products are
light in weight. So they can be used economically for various purposes.

Steps of automobiles
and other vehicles,
passages, stairs and
facings of buildings
and structures, etc.

Longitudinally Striped
Steel Sheets

NFPA1
NFPA2
NFPB1

They can be used as highly economical

strength members resistant against
bending and as exterior members for
their fine design.

Steps of automobiles
and other vehicles,
factory floors, steel
furniture, warehouse
shelves, stairs, etc.

Atmospheric
Corrosion-resistant
Steels

COR-TENO
NAW400
NAW490

They have high weatherability and can

be used unpainted. Also, they have
good wear resistance.

Marine container
columns, railway
carriage exposed
panels, building exterior
members, etc.

They are low-carbon and low-alloy steel

sheets with high strength and superior
notch toughness. Also, they have high
weldability and show sufficient joint performance.

Industrial machinery,
construction machinery,
etc.

Dust collector casings,

dusts, chimney inside
cylinders, etc.

Boiler shell sheets, end

plates, kitchen utensils,
steel silos, etc.

Remarks:
1. As required, the above-mentioned to tolerance of the (+) side or
() side can be limited. However, in this case, the total tolerance
is equal to the tolerance in the table.
2. The measuring positions for steel strip thickness are as follows: If
a mill edged steel strip or sheet has a width of 50 mm or more, an
arbitrary point 25 mm or more from the edge is selected; for a
width of less than 50 mm, the measuring point is the center of the
sheet or strip, If a cut edged steel strip or sheet has a width of 30
mm or more, an arbitrary point 15 mm or more from the edge is
selected; for a width of less than 30 mm, the measuring point is
the center of the strip or sheet. Further, for as-rolled steel plate, a
measuring point inside the expected cutting line is arbitrarily selected. In the case of a cut edged steel plate, a point 15 mm or
more from the edge is arbitrarily selected as the measuring point.
(Note) The above-mentioned JIS G 3193 is applied to JIS G 3101
and to JIS G 3106.

(Unit: mm)

Remarks:
1. A point 20 mm or more from the
edge is arbitrarily selected for the
thickness measurement. If the
width is less than 40 mm, the center is taken as the measurement
point.
2. This measuring method dose not
apply to abnormal ends of a steel
strip.
3. The application of thickness and
width is provided individually in the
appropriate standards on products.

edge is arbitrarily selected for the
thickness measurement. If the
width is less than 40 mm, the center of the strip is taken as the
measurement point.
3. The application of thickness and
width is provided individually in the
appropriate standards on products.
(Note) Width or length tolerance refers
to JIS G 3193.

Remarks:
The tolerance of a mill edged steel strip, or sheet cut from strip,
whose width is less than 400 mm is adjusted at the () side to 0. In
this case, the tolerance of the (+) side becomes twice the value.
(Note) Tolerance A, B and C of the width of cutting edge are determined by the following methods: A; normal cutting method; B; recutting or precise cutting method; C; slit method.

Remarks:
Tolerance B does not apply to a thickness of 20 mm and over.

Remarks: This table gives the unit mass for a given plate thickness up to the first decimal point.
(Example) Unit Mass Table for a plate thickness of 4.5 mm is given as follows: From the column on the left, 4.0 is selected; No.5, which
indicates 0.5 mm, is selected from the top line. Thus, a value of 35.32 kg is obtained for the thickness of 4.5 mm.
