Teacher and students A and B were having a pretend lunch. They were drinking tea and teacher said he
was going to put lemon in it and Student A said I want lemon in mine. and pretended to squeeze lemon
in her cup. Student B said that she wanted some also and when the teacher handed it to here she said
Thank you.
Teacher asked Where do you get lemons. Student A said from the store, I get butterflies too. The
teacher asked what student does with them and student A said I put them in a cage to grow up and be
safe to start to fly to town.
Student B tells the teacher she likes ketchup in the sandwich. Student B pours ketchup on the teachers
sandwich using a teapot and teacher told the student that it was tea but she said No there is ketchup in
here now
The teacher said he was going to eat his ice cream and asked what kind it was. Student A said that it
was cherry. The teacher asked if she made or bought it. Student A said We buyed it and student B
also said We buyed it. The teacher corrected them and student B then said it correctly, We bought it.
The teacher said he was finished and that he had to clean up but student B said No we will clean up for
you.
Student A said that he had to wash his hands. Student B told him that he needs soap. Student A told him
he had to dry his hands.

Student A
As seen in this observation dated June 20, 2016, students A seem to have a strong knowledge of dining
techniques. Student A was comfortable with her conversation skills. She was able to conduct a give and
take type of conversation with the teacher and student B. The student shared stories of other individuals
in her life. The student was able to formulate cohesive answers when the teacher asked her questions.
Student B
As seen in this observation dated June 20, 2016, student also demonstrated a strong knowledge of dining
techniques. The student had good communication skills. She was polite and always made sure that the
teacher had food and drink, she left the table several times to get items for the teacher. She did answer
questions when asked. When the student mispronounced a word the teacher corrected her and she then
stated it correctly.
Both students informed the teacher that he needed to wash his hands and then gave him the steps he
needed to do. Student A told him to turn on the water and student B told him he needed soap. They then
told him to dry his hands.
