Introduction to the composers:

Ilsa Reyes
Ilsa B. Reyes is a lay missionary and Church communicator called to inner healing,
intercession,and media. She writes books on the psycho-spiritual journey to
wholeness and two of these have been translated into Polish. She conducts retreats
and seminars. She co-hosts Salitang Buhay on DZMM Teleradyo on Sundays with Fr.
Bel San Luis, SVD and Fr. Jerome Marquez, SVD. She has an inspirational cd called
The Treasure: Songs of Prayer, Purpose and Promise.
Marilyn Victorio
Marilyn Victorio is a member of the Kenosis Band, a praise and worship ministry of
Couples For Christ. She is the Coordinator of the Music Ministry of the CFCHandmaid of the Lord, West C Sector, a former member of the National Music Core
of the Couples for Christ, and also the Music Ministry Coordinator of the Our Lady of
Consolation Parish from June 2005 - June 2015.
She is an Architect by profession.
Arnold De Vera
Arnold De Vera is the musical director of the AVE Choir and has served the Sacred
Heart of Jesus Parish Church for 32 years. He is a gifted organist, pianist, guitarist,
drummer, composer, and arranger when it comes to music as his ultimate passion.
He started composing songs at the age of 13 and has totally written 11 songs
including two TV ad jingles for two big companies. He won second place in a
songwriting competition held in our Parish during the time of Fr. Castro with his
entry Patungo sa Ama. He is an architect by profession, the principal architect of
his own architectural firm, a faculty member of the University of the East College of
Architecture, and the incoming president of the UAP Camanava Hilaga Chapter. He
is also the musical director of this music festival event.

Ruth Cuvin
"Six years into serving for the Parish as a musician, she used her colorful
experiences to write the song that speaks of her devotion to the Most Sacred Heart
of Jesus. Collaborating with fellow musicians EJ Querijero and Allan Tubola, and to be
sung by Karen Gardose of the Santo Rosario de Pasig Parish, here is Ruth T. Cuvin's
composition entitled "Sacred Heart of Jesus".

Nez Marcelo

Nez Marcelo, for years, has been composing songs for God's Glory. He is the
composer for many of the Misa collection recordings produced by SVD's Logos
Publications; a number of which are being used in Eucharistic celebrations.
As Musical Director of the Fifth Gospel, he created and arranged many musical
pieces sang by the group in recordings and in Gospel concerts. Today, Nez continues
to serve the Lord in the United States, teaching and composing Christian songs for
the use of a parish in Texas.
To the Fifth Gospel, he is well respected not only for his accomplishments but more
so for his humility, generosity in sharing his gift and dedication in his work for the
Lord.
Rane Castillo
As one of the musically inclined classes of COJ Catholic Progressive School, the
students of Grade 9 Vicua have been performing their own mash ups and
compositions in school events since the 5th grade. Their passion for singing and
creating music has led them to create this jazzy yet prayerful and charismatic song
dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Together with their music teacher Rane
Castillo and core composers, Iani Asis and Jamsyn Salvaa, supplemented by Louise
Bernabe and Dietrich Lee, this class of talented students offer their musical gifts as
a thanksgiving to the Lord.

Fr. Raul Caga, SVD

He is the vice rector of Divine Word Seminary in Tagaytay City, a major

seminary with around 170 students studying for priesthood.
He is a professor of moral theology in the seminary.
He is the Director of Arnoldus Communications Center, the media apostolate
of the seminary.
His passion for music and singing led him to make music ministry an
important part of his priestly ministry.
He began to write songs and produce CD albums in 2000 with his first solo
album Life is Beautiful.
This was followed by another solo album Called by Love in 2005 which
became a finalist in the Catholic Mass Media Awards for Best Religious album.
In April 2012, he came out with his 3rd CD album My Sweet Surrender which
won the Best Inspirational Album in the 34th Catholic Mass Media Awards held
on September 25, 2012.
This was followed by his 4th CD Album, which is also his 1st Christmas album
entitled All I Dream This Christmas which was released in October 2014.
In April 2015 he produced his 5th CD Album entitled Gracious Mercy
featuring a duet with no less than His Eminence Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle in

the song Mercy and Compassion. The album became a finalist in CMMA
Awards in 2015 for Best Inspirational Album
As a priest, he also evangelizes through his music and to date he has
performed more than 50 concerts since 2000 both within the Philippines and
abroad especially in the US, EUROPE and few cities in Asia.
