Region I or Ilocos Region is located in the Northwestern coast of

Luzon. It is surrounded by China Sea on the west, Cagayan Valley

and the Cordillera Administrative Region on the east, Central
Luzon on the south and Bangui Bay on the north. The region is
composed of 4 provinces, 9 cities, 116 municipalities and 3,265
barangays. San Fernando City, which is found in La Union, is the
regional center. The climate of the Ilocos Region is hot and dry
from November to April and rainy from May to October.
