O Originator of Creation, Your

Goodness suffices all existence,
I beg of You to cover up our vile
deeds and idle speech.

Y mjidal khalqi urr,

wa msial kulli birr.
Asaluk asbla sitr,
alal qabi wal akhl.

Fawqalladh rma abduk,

fadrik biramatik fil l.

O Most Generous, we appeal to

Your Kindness. All good is Yours,
and what comes from You;
Grant more than Your servant
has aimed for; save me through
Your Mercy at this very instance.

O my Lord! Lord of all lords!

Your bondsman, your destitiute
one is at Your door
He has come while all causes
have been severed; realising the
error of his ways after having
faltered.

alkhayru khayruk wa indak.

At wa qad battal asbb,

mustadrikan bada m ml.

Y rabbi y rabbal arbb,

abduk faqruk alal bb.

Famnun alayn biliqbl,

wa kullan waliil bl.

Y rabbi y limal l,
ilayka wajjahtul ml.
O my Lord! Knower of our
condition, I direct my hopes to
You.
Grace us with your Attention, be
with us, and set right our affairs.

O Knower of our secrets,

do not remove (your) protective
veil from us;
Exempt us, forgive us, and be
there for us wherever we are.

Y limas sirri minn,

l tahtikis sitra ann.

Y waya nafsil ghawiyyah,

anis sablis sawiyyah.
Aat turawwij alayyah,
wa qaduhal jhu wal ml.

Woe upon my deviating soul,

straying from the right path,
Goading me on to chase after
fame and fortune.

And my love for this wicked

world which is barren of all
virtue,
Loaded with calamities, filled
with troubles and distractions.

Wa ubbi duny dhammah,

min kulli khayrin aqmah.
Fhal baly muqmah,
wa ashwuh ft washghl.

I complain to You and I cry over

my wrongdoings and falsehoods,
My evil deeds and negligence,
my lust for idle gossip.

O my Lord! O my Lord! I beg

Your pardon.
My good opinion of You will
never waiver, O Sovereign, King
of the Dominion.

O my Lord! I rely on You, just as

much as I depend on You,
Truly, my utmost desire is Your
Eternal Satisfaction.

O Seer of the secrets of my heart,

it is enough for me that You look
at me,
Wipe away my sins with Your
Forgiveness, and set my
intentions and actions aright.

Ashk ilayka wa abk,

min shumi ulm wa ifk.
Wa si fil wa tark,
wa shahwatil qli wal ql.

Y rabbi y rabbi inn,

asalukal afwa ann.
Wa lam yakhib fka ann,
y mlikal mulki y wl.

Rabbi alaykatimd,
kam ilaykastind.
idqan wa aq murd,
riukad dimul l

Famu biafwika dhamb,

wali qud wal aml.

Y man yar sirra qalb,

asbiiluka asb.

And bless him to repent in such

a way that it will wash away his
sins,
And keep him from relapsing
into evil, which he has resolved
to turn away from.

Wamnun alayhi bitawbah,

taghsilhu min kulli awbah.

Waimhu min sharri awbah,

likulli m anhu qad l.

Coming to You with an

apology, humble and poor.
So with your Felicity,
Generosity, and sheer Favour,
ease the supplicants distress.

Wa qad atka biudhrih,

wa binkisrih wa faqrih,
Fahzim biyusrika usrih,
bimai jdik walafl.

Wa yartaj lithawbik,
wa ghaythu ramatik hal.

Y rabbi abduk bibbik,

yakhsh alma adhbik.

Falaysa shayun thamma khf,

alayka tafl wajml.

O my Lord! Your Goodness

suffices us. Grace us with well
being.
There is nothing in existence,
whether general or specific,
hidden from Your Sight.

Y rabbi y khayra kf,

alil alaynal awf.

O my Lord! Your bondsman is

at Your door, fearing the pain
of Your Punishment,
Longing for Your Reward when
the relief of Your Mercy rains
down.

I beg You, O my Lord, cure my

heart.
Release me from distress; look
(kindly) on my sorrow and
dispel it.

Qadistaintuka rabb,
al mudwti qalb.
Wa alli uqdati karb,
fanur ilal ghammi yanjl.

Wa fil ui kabatn,
wa qayyadatn bilikbl.

O my Lord it has overpowered

me and imprisoned me with
desires,
It subdues me with prosperity,
and shackles me in chains.

Y rabbi qad ghalabatn,

wa bilamn sabatn.

Praise and Thanks be to Allh for

His boundless Bounties.
We Praise Him secretly and
openly, day and night.

Man kullamathul ghazlah,

Muammadinil hdid dl.
Walamdu lillhi shukr,
al niami minhu tatr.
Namadhu sirran wa jahr, wa
bilghady wall.

And bestow Your Salutations

always upon the dispeller of
misguidance,
Whom the gazelle has spoken to:
Muammad, the guide.

Wa alli f kulli lah,

al mazli allah.

Wajal jinnak mar,

wakhtim bilmnil jl.

Y rabbi anta nar,

falaqqin kulla khayr.

O my Lord! You are my Helper,

so allow me to meet with all
good.
Make Your Paradise my
destination, and bring my life to a
close upon faith.

Your Generosity, Bounty, and

Munificence are longed for. Your
Punishment and coercive Power
are feared.
You are forever worthy of
Remembrance, Thanks, Praise,
and Exaltation.

Jduk wa faluk wa birruk,

yurj wa bashuk wa qahruk.

Yukhsh wa dhikruk wa shukruk,

lzim wa amduk walijll.

You are the Sovereign of all

Sovereigns, Alone in Perfection.
In Exaltation and Sublimity, You
transcend all comparison.

Faanta mawlal mawl,

almunfarid bilkaml.
Wa bilul wattal,
alawta an arbil amthl.
