o interviewer checks interests and commonalities
o checks structuring/ clarity of thoughts

General Resume Overview

Content mining Prioritize your achievements

Concise maximum 3 to 4 points of explanation
Impactful Changes or value addition to your work (project, POR etc.)
Concentrate mainly on what you did and how you achieved it
Dont write everything in the resume make interviewer curious to meet you
Dont underestimate anything you have done (Even Organizer counts if you have actually
worked)

Scholastic/Academic Achievements

Olympiads
Merit Certificates
KVPY, NTSE scholar
Research Publications
DR (Top 10)
Branch change(Be ready to answer why)
AP grades, minor, honor
For tech resume you can mention your JEE rank
Dont write AA grades

Internships (for startups)/Professional Experience

Dont exaggerate your post, do mention trainee

Focus on what you learnt and how you did
Value addition to the project you were involved in if any

Internships in only registered start-ups has to be mentioned, otherwise state as a project

PORs/ Organizational Experience

Shows leadership quality, teamwork

Quantify your work eg. Led a team of X-members which witnessed a footfall of Y+ people
Initiatives

Extra-curricular

In form of a table
Prioritize sections - sports, cultural, technical, miscellaneous (BMC, foreign languages, online
courses etc.)

Courses under taken

Focus on additional courses

Dont write all the core and lab courses- sort out the important ones

Write up online courses only if you have the certificate

Font size 10-12
Dont mention small school achievements
Resume points should be personalized and differentiated and not copied
No contact information
Everything you write in your resume, have examples to back that up(for PI)
Make sure you have proof for everything in form of mail or certificates
Download resumes and check for proper spacing at the top
