Our materials
In addition to non-ferrous metals, which are typically used for
diamond machining, the Fraunhofer IPT examines and qualifies
innovative materials for the production of optical surfaces
and microstructures. In an in-house plating facility, nickelphosphorus coatings are produced for diamond machining
high-quality products for optical applications.
Non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass, nickel silver)
Nickel-phosphorus (NiP) coatings on various body materials
