During this summer we have


watched, listened or read about
the political conventions that
have occurred. They have been
important for us to see the direction of where politics is going towards the future. The
same is happening with American National Catholic
Church this week at the 2016 ANCC Convocation! Parish
Members and Clergy from all parts of the country will be
gathering in Maryland for worship and workshops that
will explore social justice, theological formation and liturgical planning. The theme of the convocation is Serve

Good Shepherd ANCC will be well represented as Fr.


Anthony, Fr. Drew, Donna & Joe Lombardi, and Fran &
Mike Krol head to Maryland for the 2016 ANCC Convocation on August 1113. They will join clergy and laity
from ANCC churches throughout the United States. The
Convocation consists of informative sessions and workshops, worship, and fellowship as they follow this years
theme: Serve the Lord with gladness Fr. Anthony and
Donna will be two of the featured speakers at this years
Convocation!

your thoughts and prayers. Im proud that Good Shepherd members are actively involved in giving two workshops; Planting and Building a Congregation; and
Parish Religious Education & Faith Formation. Our Music Ministry will also be participating with other ANCC

We are blessed to welcome Fr. Drew Miller to


Good Shepherd!
Recently incardinated into the ANCC,
Fr. Drew was ordained a Roman Catholic
priest in 1987 and served at St. Andrews
Church in Bayonne, NJ for five years before
making the decision to take a different life
path.
Fr. Drew is currently a Psychologist in private
practice. He resides in Toms River with his wife
Lorna and their 17 year old daughter Rachel.
He is looking forward to serving Good Shepherd ANCC especially since his calling to the
priesthood never really left him.
