WHEN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER CHANGES,OUR OWN SENSE OF IDENTITY

CHANGES TOO!!!!
A very impermanence nature of the world, there is no permanent , everything in this world
changes. Changing for a better or a worse. I believe, a good Relationship with others in a society
is essential to live happily in the society. And it is true that when our relationship with other
changes, our own sense of identity also changes.
Taking my country Tibet as an example, in 1959, During the brutal invasion of our country by
Chinese which invites tears, anger, hatred and loss among all the innocent Tibetan. With the great
tragic and sadness, we escaped from our fatherland,Tibet. And its been 57 years and we are still in
exile. Since then, We had hated Chinese with a strong stab in our heart for invading our country.
Fortunately, We have a very compassionate leader, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. He always
advises us, Our real enemies are anger and hatred which disturbs us and disrupt our attempts to
develop a calm mind. With his teachings on compassion and peace have reached in all our
Tibetans heart, which purifies our soul and built a genuine meaning of love, A Love that can reach
to our enemies. Since then we have left our hatred and negative vibes aside, instead weve built a
genuine friendship with Chinese. Now days, we have tenths of thousands of Chinese friends and
followers across the globe who come every year to visit Dalai Lama and our society in Exile to
appreciate our morals and to listen the teachings of Dalai Lama. Which shows change in our
relationship with other results in change in our identity, an identity where we can built trust and
friendship with Chinese although they deserves a whole Tibet hatred.
But that doesn't mean that we will not fight for our country. Yet our friendship with Chinese have
thought us to make a distinct between the people of China with their corrupted government. Yet our
friendship with Chinese have taught us even they are unhappy with their communist government. It
is true that Tibet is not the only country where Chinese government is causing troubles, but there
are list of other countries where they are living under Communist governments oppression like
Hong Kong, Taiwan, Uighur and Chinese as well. The world migration population statistics shows,
there are 3.8 million Chinese in America, 1.5 million Chinese in Canada and there are 0.86 million
Chinese in Australia. Which clearly tells us that they are not having a happy life in there own
country under communist government so they come out to seek for a freedom and democracy. A
saying goes, When someone is causing trouble to many other people, that means that person has
a problem. So we Tibetan in and outside the Tibet are fighting against Communist Government for
freedom but through middle way approach.
In the film, Invictus, Nelson Mandela came to power at a time when his country was bitterly divided.
He believes with the mutual understanding of forgiveness among the white and the black South
African could bring his nation back to alive. In his first day of office, white people who used to work
in the office are packing their stuff and trying to surrender their work thinking that they will be fired
by new black president. But Mandela calls every workers in the office for a quick conference where
he expresses a willing of working together because he said, Our nation needs you. Mandela also
builds a friendly relationship between he's white and black security. Due to his strong support to
Spring book, the Rugby team reaches out to the community by going to the slums and teaching
kids how to play. After wining the 1995 Rugby World Cup Championship match, not only the game
that Mandela tirelessly put efforts to win it but he won the heart of the people by successfully
bringing entire black and white South African to support their countrys representative team and
cherish the victory together with joy and love. In the end he has successfully changed countrys
identity along with changing peoples personality which results the transformation of the countrys
identity into Rainbow Nation Identity.
