I) DEFINITION OF THE PRODUCT


The clip Piterak XS is part of the assembly of the Piterak XS faade system.
The clips are screwed on aluminium profiles and hold the Piterak XS terracotta part.
The clip Piterak XS has the following functions:
o Take back the constraint from shock, wind, and seism
o Fix the Piterak XS terra cotta part to the aluminium extruded part
o Be fixable to the other parts of the system
The clip Piterak XS has to resist at climatic environment such as temperature, rains, UV solar
ray, and marine aerosol and should not oxide.

VII) RAW MATERIAL TEST


SALT FOG TEST
Standard: NF X41 002
Sample room: volume 108L, temperature 35C, air pre ssure 1kgf/cm2
Salt water temperature: 45C
Salt: 5% (50g/l)
Spray density: Surface 80 cm2, 2ml 1ml/hour
 Conformity criteria: no discoloration, no sparkling and no flake after 200 hours.

VIII) MECHANICAL TEST


The speed is 50N/s from 0 to 2000N in 40s. Loading is realized by a compression machine
moved by a hydraulic cylinder. The test duration is 40s.
Loading is applied on the bended part of the piece like on the picture below.

 Conformity criteria: no tearing after the indicated time

IX) VISUAL TEST


The general aspect of the part shall be matt (not shiny).
There will not be any residual stamping oil.

XI) QUALITY CONTROLS AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE ORDER


1) Dimensional, visual and weight control
The control is to be made by the supplier every 300pcs made.
It will include:
- Dimensional control according to validation plan
- Visual control with inscription of TERREAL and reference of the piece
- Visual test according to visual test description
- Weight control according to the validation plan

3) Raw material control


The stainless steel is bought by coils. The lot code for the pieces is the coil number they are
made from.
Salt fog test is to be made every year on a different coil if the raw material supplier is the
same. If the stainless steel is bought from another supplier, another salt fog test will be
processed.
For each order, 2 documents are to be provided:
- Raw material certificate from stainless steel supplier for each coil used for production
- Test report for the annual salt fog test of the material supplier used for production

4) Quality control by Terreal


All these controls will be recorded into a table with date and time and will be controlled during
the inspection of the parts. All the documents must be provided in English language.
Quality control will be made by Terreal before each shipment.
