Furukawa Airi

Q - A girl who loves anime and manga, core member of the 2D enthusiasts associati
on. With an established reputation as a great singer and illustrator, her work is
currently serialized in a magazine. For the first time this year, she ranked 30
th in the general elections.
Airi - I think we do an excellent team work in SKE48. Whenever we have the oppor
tunity we get fired up at unison. When we appear in AKB48 concerts, this force i
s striking and we all get even more boosted to give our best.
When I failed to enter the selection for Okidoki, I started investing myself in my
blog and Google+. Im not good with words and so I was told my blog was boring, b
ut now Im drawing tons of illustrations.
I admire anime seiyuus, especially Onosaka Masaya and Yui Orie whom I love. I ho
pe that someday I could become a seiyuu too. And I would be the happiest person
ever if I could sing the theme song for an installment of Kidousenshi Gundam!
I also want to produce my own anime someday. Id be in charge of the drawing, voic
es, songs Ive make a step closer to this dream in our 1st album. In the MV for Banj
ii Sengen, I appear along the CG character I drew myself. In this video I transfo
rm in a senshi type of heroin, and we fight side to side the villain of the stor
y. I shot the PV alone on a blue back so it was difficult to imagine how it woul
d turn out. Please watch the PV to know what the result is like!
Ogiso Shiori
Q - As a 3rd generation member, 4 months after entering SKE48 she was picked for
her first single selection. This 19 years old girl with her husky voice for spe
cificity loves shopping, playing around and cats.
Shiori - SKE48 is an athletic organization in some aspects. Its especially notice
able with how much we move and give of ourselves in our stages, resulting in mem
bers having a big appetite. Lately Im thinking this avarice for food (tln : alt.
gluttony) is our secret charm point. When we are outside and that our own bento
isnt enough for fill us, everyone hunts the rests (laugh). At first I felt I had
to hand it over to the seniors, but now its goes to whom is faster. Its especially
true when it comes to meet since its popular among us.
I love cats and Im also told my personality is like a cat one. Dogs wave their ta
il dont they? I cant stand it, I have to pass behind and pull it. I was also told
by (Takayanagi) Akane that I wasjumpy like a cat. Its true that when Im scared or su
rprised I tend to jump up and down (laugh).
I often hear by fans that I changed since the time I missed the selection for 1!2
!3!4! Yoroshiku!. Its true that from then during our stage performances even if I
was behind I make sure to stand out more by making bigger movements, I brought m
yself to the fore and found the resolve to make greater efforts. From now on I w
ould like to appear in fashion magazines, gain experience in mode gravure shooti
ngs.
Matsumura Kaori
Q - She gathered attention thanks to her original operation on Google+. She rank
ed 34th in this year general elections, claiming the highest position ever for a

research student in the whole 48 group.

Kaori - After the elections, my situation changed drastically. In my case its tha
nks to my fans support that I could enter the single selections, so I will make
all necessary efforts not to let that chance go to waste.
I love bringing the conversation to life, for example during stage MC. It goes l
ike As long as people smile I feel relieved, fans themselves dont seek a typical id
ol-like role from me (laugh). In the other hand, Im fascinating by the punishing
games celebrities are going through, especially the staining ones like jumping i
n boiling water or being recovered of flour!
On Gugutasu I produce my own videos and we share some great time with fans thank
s to them. Each week, like a relay, I invite a member in my program, Id like to i
nvite members from other 48 groups next.
Kimoto Kanon
Q - Right after passing the audition, with an exceptionnal speed, she was chose
to enter the single selection. Although she bearing a young sister image, she as
sumes Team E center position and is the motor of her team.
Kanon - I was honestly glad to ranked 56th in those elections. But a part of me
was also sad, being the only member from Team E to rank in. I have to accept thi
s result though and I want to use this bitterness as a fuel to aim higher.
I think that compared to AKB48 where there are many beautiful persons, SKEs charm
is to be more banal, to lack refinement (laugh). I mean, I guess its good that f
ans can feel closer to us, no? (tln : alt. translation -> that we look more acce
ssible)
My personal challenge is to appear in more drama. In the future I would like to
play in drama outside the 48 group.
I also aim at being SKE48 n1 idol. Ive always loved idols, I study other groups an
d 48 ones by watching videos. For example, when doing the guts pose (tln : victo
ry pose), if you slightly bent your fist it becomes cuter. Practicing regularly,
it becomes natural and you dont even need to think about it anymore.
Mukaida Manatsu
Q - Team KII ace is someone going to her own pace. Still, she ranked 35th in tho
se 4th general elections.
Manatsu - I dont think anyone could have imagined that the equivalent of a team f
rom SKE48 would have ranked in those elections. When I stepped up on stage I bec
ame strangely calm and so I didnt cry. But I didnt quite understand why I had been
chosen among so many great people and I felt quite airy (laugh).
In my case, when everybody else goes WaaaI remain calm and it happens that fans thi
nkShe is a bit cold. Its true that Im shy and it took me over 3 months to speak norm
ally with the members when I joined. The first girl who came to talk to me was M
atsumoto Rina from Team KII. Maybe she felt we were alike (laugh).
But the truth is I love to laugh. I start laughing really easily and now that Ive
thrown off my reserve Im told by other members You laugh for nothing!.
