I make coexist my AKB and SKE-self

Before last year General Elections, she proclaimed I aim at being among the top 1
0, and just like her words said, she reached the 10th position. This year, her go
al is a one digit result.
Compared to the year prior where I was 11th, last year I progressed to 10th, I ho
pe for this year to rank higher, even if of only one position. I believe the fan
s will be delighted too if my rank is among the one digit, together we share the
same goal. Also, I will be extremely happy if Im told about my rank You deserve
it.
As it is well known given she is also part of AKB48 senbatsu members, Renas activ
ities arent limited to SKE48. How does she manages this double label?
For SKE I have the chance to dance at the front row but when Im with AKB-san Im ei
ther in middle or rear line. Because of this, Im able to see the scene from a lot
of different positions. If it was only for SKE, I think Id be plainly satisfied
with the way things are but being made to join AKB-san in their activities makes
me realize there is still plenty of room for me to grow. Thats something Im incre
dibly thankful for.
Fans are divided into two factions regarding those positions Rena has been besto
wed upon. The first says I want to support her to rank higher in AKB, while the ot
her ones stand is Id prefer she focus on SKE. What does the concerned person think o
f this?
Its a difficult matter, both are sound arguments in my opinion. But when I work w
ith AKB-san, I never forget of my duty to act as SKE figurehead.
I cant be their leader, but I can support them
On March 24th, there was an announcement that would forever be carved in SKE48 h
istory. Team S Matsui Jurina would from there on hold concurrent position insid
e Team K. This instant, you instinctively run up to Jurina.
I was like desperate. SKE is done for! Who is going to pull us forward now? With
those thoughts rushing through my mind, even though I never do such thing, befor
e I realized I had run to her. All the members were the same, forming a circle a
round us they all dissolved into tears. But then Jurina shook our arms off to ge
t free and started walking forward. I felt inside me Ahh, she made up her mind, no
matter what happens I decided we needed to give her our assistance.
That is to say, while supporting Jurina, she will in turn become all SKE48 suppo
rt.
First of all, I was given the role of leader of aka gumi for the single coupling
songs. Also I was able to release my own photobook, not as SKEs Matsui Rena, but as
Matsui Rena. The fact that my solo work increased like this was another major ste
p forward for me.
The day following the announcement of Jurina double-position, you both had to ap
pear on stage again.
Given she had to recover, the atmosphere was such that nobody seemed to be allowe
d inside her room. But I figured she must have been worried about the members wh

o were going to perform as her replacement, so before the live I went to discuss
it alone with her. I was glad she seemed relieved then.
Renas awakening will bring SKE48 to the next stage of its evolution.
