BiomedicalandSensorInterfaceCircuits

WillySansen,KULeuven,Belgium

Abstract:
Anincreasingnumberofcircuitsinterfacewiththehumanbodyandotherbiosensors.Theyhavetointerfacewith
livingtissues,whichchangeinimpedance,withtemperature,andwithtime.Veryhighinputcircuitimpedancesare
requiredtoavoidtheextractionofcurrent,causingdriftandinfection.Highsensitivityandlownoisearerequired
aswell.

Thisshortcourseaimstodescribethedifficultiesandtechnicalsolutionsforsuchbiointerfacecircuits.Successful
realizationsarepresentedfordifferentkindsofmedicalapplications.
