GE Power & Water

6F.01 Gas Turbine

GE was the first F-class supplier to achieve 99.4 percent yearly
reliability and the first to reach 1 million starts. This global expertise,
along with robust research and development programs, continues
to make GE a supplier of choice for F-class technology in both the
50 Hz and 60 Hz markets. Nearly 50 percent of all the F-class units
sold today bear the GE name.

Product Evolution and Experience

Originally introduced as the 6C Gas Turbine in 2003 at 42 MW and
upgraded to 46 MW in 2005 after site validation, the two fleet
leader units have accumulated more than 110,000 operating
hours in combined cycle.
Now renamed the 6F.01 Gas Turbine, the unit output has been

Building on GEs F-Class Legacy

GE introduced F-class technology (2300F to 2600F firing
temperature) nearly three decades ago. Today, GE has the worlds

Full Suite of Service Offerings

Extended warranty and a full suite of service offerings are available
on the 6F.01 Gas Turbine, including long-term service agreements
with availability and reliability guarantees, improved maintenance
intervals, and performances. Fleet spares are also maintained prior
to first fire in the field.

Nearly 56 percent efficient in combined cyclethe highest

efficiency in the under 100 MW gas turbine space.
High exhaust temperature and mass flow allows steam
pressure up to 140 bar and up to 80%+ cogeneration efficiency
12-stage compressor with field removable blades increases
reliability and ease of maintenance; three stages of compressor
guide vanes for high efficiency at part load.
Low compression ratio helps avoid need for gas compression
from the gas pipeline and allows for high exhaust temperature
for increased steam cycle efficiency.
High turbine speed (7266 rpm) allows for high compressor flow
and output while enabling a compact design.
GEs patented Mark* VIe Integrated Control System (ICS)
connects plant components with a single, high-performance,
control architecture, enabling comprehensive plant
automation schemes.
Ease of installation, maintenance, and modularitycombined
with a shorter commissioning cycleprovides improved
life cycle value.

Applicability
The 6F.01 Gas Turbine serves 50 Hz and 60 Hz simple cycle and
combined cycle applications.
