Why DC Power System is needed for telecom Application ?

DC Power Systems - Application

Why DC Power is needed for telecom Application

Easy to distribute
Low losses
High safety as DC voltage <60V is not hazardous
Easy to store.
Maximum Store energy required.

Why -48Vdc is selected for DCPS System?

Why 48Vdc is selected for DCPS System?

High safety as DC voltage <60V is not hazardous

Cell means 2 V
Maximum we are giving Voltage to cell is 2.5Vdc
DC Voltage = 60/2.5= 48Vdc

Why 48Vdc is selected for DCPS System?

DC Power Systems Rectifier Module

A

The mains is connected through a fuse and EMC filter (A) to a rectifier and preregulator (B), controlling the power factor and input current. The direct voltage
from block B is connected to a DC/DC converter including an isolation transformer
(C and D). The transformer (D) brings down the high-frequency voltage, and
provides galvanic insulation between the input- and output-circuits. In rectifier (E)
the voltage is rectified and subsequently filtered in output filter (F).
The control circuit (G) monitors the output voltage and the output current
continuously, and provides rapid feedback to the inverter (C)to regulating its
output power.
