Frequently asked Questions

1. Does ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise allow simultaneous access to

applications per task?

ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise is a single task license type, and therefore per task only allows access to each application sequentially, but not simultaneously.

For example, if you have only have a single ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise license available, you can perform a Mechanical APDL solution, but you will not be able to use SpaceClaim Direct Modeler until the solution is complete.

Frequently asked Questions

2. Can I use this new license type at older versions?

As long as you are running a previous release of ANSYS products with the Release 17.0 licensing manager.

Please note, however, that although these new features are available and

can be used, the previous releases will not contain the full set of features of

the new product levels.

To gain full advantage of the ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise you need to running v17.0 and above.
