ANSYS Mechanical is renamed as ANSYS


Mechanical Enterprise.

Nothing has been removed from the previous


ANSYS Mechanical product.

Additional features are now available to all ANSYS

1. Does ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise allow simultaneous access to
applications per task?
ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise is a single task license type, and therefore per
task only allows access to each application sequentially, but not
simultaneously.
For example, if you have only have a single ANSYS Mechanical
Enterprise license available, you can perform a Mechanical APDL
solution, but you will not be able to use SpaceClaim Direct Modeler
until the solution is complete.

2. Can I use this new license type at older versions?
As long as you are running a previous release of ANSYS products with the
Release 17.0 licensing manager.
Please note, however, that although these new features are available and
can be used, the previous releases will not contain the full set of features of
the new product levels.
To gain full advantage of the ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise you need to
running v17.0 and above.

3. What do I do now?
As stated you will have access to the new capabilities in v17.0 now and can
start using them today!
Shortly we will be announcing v17.0 update Webinars which we
recommend you attend which may answer many of your remaining
questions.
For those using these new capabilities for the first time we recommend
attending training. Please visit the ANSYS Training Center on ANSYS.com
for more information.
