Dear Ms. Asperilla:
We, the United Architects of the Philippines Graduates Auxiliary Manila
Chapter (UAPGA Manila), United Architects of the Philippines Students
Auxiliary University of Santo Tomas Chapter (UAPGA UST), a duly recognized
arm of the United Architects of the Philippines, the core organization of Architects,
and Shelter Architecture and Design Magazine, a publication that provides a
platform for the discussion of issues that shape the local and international fields of
architecture and design, are honoured to invite your company to take part in an
Architectural Summit entitled,CONFLUX, which will be held on September
24, 2016, Saturday (8:00AM 6:00PM) at the Cities Events Place located at
30 Sgt. Esguerra Ave. Barangay South Triangle, Diliman, Quezon City.
CONFLUX is a whole day architectural summit that will be the first of its kind,
organized by the UAPGA MANILA, UAPSA UST and Shelter Magazine. The
Summit focuses on themes relevant to the newly graduates that can help them in
their development as future licensed architect of our country - Career Diversity,
Personality Development, Creativity, and Asian Integration. A series of talks and
panel discussions between architects from different private practices will be invited
to share their thoughts and views regarding the said themes. We are expecting at
least 250-300 participants nationwide.
Aside from the Architectural Summit, there will also be a Conflux: Induction and
Thanksgiving Dinner on July 27, 2016. It will be for the induction of the new UAPGA Manila Chapter officers for 2016-2017 and for our UAPGA board passers. The
dinner's proceeds will benefit young cancer patients in National Childrens Hospital
in cooperation with CANCERvants PH.
We guarantee your help in funding CONFLUX would go a long way towards making
this a successful event and pave the way for more in the future. Please see
attached: schedule of events, speaker's profiles, and the sponsorship packages
available. If you have further concerns, please feel free to contact the undersigned

RATIONALE
The summit is a whole day architectural symposium
featuring various architects from different field to talk
about emerging topics like the ASEAN Integration. It
also features different job opportunities and products in
the market from different companies and suppliers.
Conflux by The United Architects of the Philippines
Graduates and Students Auxiliary is the first learning
summit event where as UAPGA-MNL, and UAPSAUST, one of the largest UAPGA and UAPSA chapters
known for organizing various symposia featuring
renowned architects and allied professionals, to give
insight and knowledge about pressing issues on
architecture and the environment, with the help of
Shelter Magazine, a catalyst of igniting the publics
interest of sharing critical thoughts on architecture and
design.
The event will gather architecture students, architects,
and allied professionals from the AEC industry all over
the Philippines in a one-day architectural summit.
This initiative is inspired by the organizers desire to
build a better future for our community. UAPGA and
UAPSAs main goal is to promote an intellectual
architectural discourse as response to a dire lack of
thought-provoking dialogues while opening new
avenues for students and newly graduates to be
exposed to the architecture life outside the confines of
their academic institutions. Shelter Magazine supports
this endeavour by being a repository of ideas that aims
to stir discussions and reviews to ignite the publics
interest in architecture and design.
Conflux is also for the benefit of young cancer patients
in the National Childrens Hospital in cooperation with
CANCERvants PH.
