Official Constitution of The Sunday Games

We the gentlemen of The Sunday Games, in order to form a more

perfect League, establish justice, insure fairness, promote a general
code of Decency, and secure the blessings of the great game of
Football to ourselves and our friends, do ordain and establish this
Constitution for The Sunday Games.
Article I - League Information
The Sunday Games will be made up of 14 teams. These teams can be
owned by as many people as the teams owner decides, but no one
owner can own or co-own more than one team within the league.
There is no increase in a teams entry fee due to multiple owners.
In the event of an odd number of teams, whether that comes to be
through a team dropping out or being banned, the league
commissioner will seek out a replacement owner that has no
connection to the league.
If such a person is found, then they must pay a fee equal to one teams
entry fee. If this takes place after the draft, the new owner must take
on the team of the old owner as it is. If this takes place before the
draft, the new owner is responsible for drafting his or her own team. If
the old owner has already paid his or her team fee, then they will be
refunded that fee once they relinquish ownership of their team.
The Commissioner of The Sunday Games is Seth Fortier. He may be
contacted with any league-related questions or concerns by phone or
by e-mail, as listed below. Seth Fortier (207)409-6999
sethfortier13@gmail.com.
Article II Fees
To play in The Sunday Games, each team must pay an entry fee of Two
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250). This fee is per team, therefore if the
team has multiple owners, the fee is still only Two Hundred & Fifty
Dollars.
The entry fee for each team must be paid before the first game of
Week 4 of the NFL season begins, whenever that may be. There will be
a one week grace period where no penalty shall be enforced for late
payment. This grace period ends before the first game of Week 5 of the
NFL season begins, whenever that may be.
If the entry fee is not paid by the end of the grace period, then that
team will automatically get the last pick in the next seasons draft. If
the entry fee is not paid by the beginning of Week 16 of the NFL
season, then that person is banned from the league for the next

season. If that person wins The Sunday Games Championship, then

there is no penalty.
Article III Roster
Each team will have Sixteen (17) roster spots. These roster spots
consist of Nine (9) total starters, Six (7) bench players, and One (1)
injured reserve slot. The Nine starting slots will be made up of One
Quarterback, Two Running backs, Two Wide Receivers, One Tight End,
One Flex (RB/WR/TE), One Team Defense, and One Place Kicker.
Teams may have up to, but no more than: Three Quarterbacks, Six
Running backs, Six Wide Receivers, Two Tight Ends, Two Team
Defenses, and Two Place Kickers on their roster, whether it be on the
bench, starters, or injured reserve.
The Sunday Games is a Keeper League, meaning that each team is
allowed to keep TWO players on their roster for the upcoming season.
When a team keeps a player, they lose a pick in the upcoming draft in
the round that the keeper was picked in their respective draft. A player
is only eligible to be kept if they were picked after the Third Round of
the draft. The same player may be kept on a team for a maximum of
three seasons, including the season they were originally drafted in.
Article IV Draft
The Sunday Games will have an online draft every season prior to the
start of Week One of the NFL regular season. The draft date and time
will be determined by the league each season. The draft will be a snake
draft, meaning that the order of picks is reversed every other round.
Auto-drafting is not tolerated inThe Sunday Games, as we all have
integrity. Therefore, if an owner autodrafts more than Four (4) rounds
of the draft, then they would not be eligible for any winnings at the
end of the season unless they make at least Fifteen (15) transactions
throughout the season. These transactions include trades and waiver
wire activity.
Article V Scoring
Points are awarded to a player in correlation to their accomplishments
on the field on a weekly basis. The Sunday Games, uses fractional
points in order to decrease the amount of ties that occur during the
season. A full breakdown of how points are earned is on the league
website on ESPN.com.

Article VI Regular Season

The Regular Season of the The Sunday Games will consist of Thirteen
(13) weekly head to head matchups spanning from Week One until
Week Thirteen of the NFL Regular Season. The schedule for each
season is randomly determined before Week One. The winner of each
weekly matchup will be determined by total score, which is calculated
by the starting lineups accomplishments on the field. The team with
the highest total of points at the end of the week, including time for
stat corrections, is the winner. If two teams tie, it is considered a tie
for that week. Each teams record determines the standings on a
weekly basis. Ties in the standings will be broken by total points for.
The team with highest total points scored will be the higher seed.
Article VII Playoffs
Playoffs will begin in Week Fourteen of the NFL Regular Season. There
will be three one-week matchups, with the third week being the
Championship round. The top Eight teams will make the playoffs each
year. Seeding is determined by the Regular Season standings. The first
and second place teams will receive a bye week in the first round of
the playoffs, therefore automatically advancing to the semi-final round.
The playoffs are single elimination, so the team that wins, advances to
the next round. The team that loses is relegated to the winners
consolation bracket. The loser of the consolation bracket, made up of
the teams who failed to make the playoffs, will be considered the last
place team for that season. The Champion is crowned at the end of
Week 16 of the NFL regular season, allowing time for stat corrections.
Article VIII Transactions
Transactions are defined by trades between teams or adding/dropping
players on the waiver wire. The order of the waiver wire is determined
on a weekly basis, using the reverse order of the current standings,
meaning last place gets first priority and so on. All players not on a
roster are relegated to waivers starting on Tuesday of each week. All
players placed on waivers, no matter when, will stay on waivers for a
period of Twenty-Four hours. After that, the player is a free-agent, and
can therefore be picked up by any team regardless of waiver priority.
All trades will have a Twenty-Four Hour review period before being
accepted. If a simple majority of the uninvolved owners votes against
the trade, then it is therefore vetoed. The trade deadline will be 12pm
Eastern Time on the Thursday of Week Eleven (11) of the NFL regular

season. All trades must be accepted before the deadline to go through.

Rent-a-Player Trades will not be tolerated in The Sunday Games.
These trades are defined as one team trading a player to another team,
under the understanding that the teams will trade back at the end of
the season for keeper purposes.
Article IX End of Season / Punishments
Once a champion has been crowned, the payouts will be executed. The
League Champion will receive Two Thousand Dollars ($2,500). The
League Runner-Up will receive Five Hundred Dollars ($750). The third
place team will receive Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250). The team
who finishes in last place at the end of the season will have to pay for
and take the SATs, where your score will be posted on the last place
trophy. The owner(s) of the last place team has to take the SATs
without question. If the owner refuses or fails to complete the
punishment, they must pay double the entry fee for the next season. If
they refuse to do that as well, they are banned from The Sunday
Games for the next season. Lastly, any player(s) found to be involved
in cheating / collusion in any way will be handed down a penalty from
the Commissioner.
Article X - Keepers
At the season's end, you are allowed to keep a maximum of TWO
players who were drafted in the 4th round or later.
Keepers are to be drafted in the round that they were selected in the
year prior.
Players picked up off waivers are to be selected in the 12th round.
Keepers must be in by the deadline chosen by the commissioner.
Keepers can be kept for a maximum of two years.
You may only keep players who FINISHED the season ON YOUR
ROSTER.
Keepers, like draft picks, are tradable. If you already have two keepers
selected and trade for a third, you must drop a keeper.
If you trade a keeper you will regain that draft selection, while the
League Member who received your keeper, must chose that keeper in
his respective round.
If you own two keepers who are to be selected in the same round, you
must select one of them a round earlier, not later. Keepers lose one
round of value per season.
Article XI - New Rules & Amendments

New Rules can be proposed by any member of The Sunday Games. All
proposals will be voted on by the league, and if a simple majority of
the league votes yes on the rule, regardless of if everyone has voted
or not, then it is immediately instated, and is in effect for all future
instances. New rules are not retroactive.
