Daily End of Course Preparation Exercises
Each class period will begin with review exercises to test reasoning and verbal abilities. These
exercises are discussed and corrected in class and collected every Friday. To receive maximum
credit all work must be shown.
Note: It is a good idea to save all End of Course Preparation Exercises for use as study guides for unit
tests and the Algebra 2 End of Course assessment. At the end of each semester extra credit points will be
given for exemplary scores.

Daily Class Notes and Homework

Mathematics is a class involving active participation. Daily assignments will help you strengthen
your understanding of each mathematical concept. Each day you will be expected to take class
notes with examples and complete homework exercises similar to examples worked in class.
Mistakes should be corrected, with a colored pen, for mastery of the concept. Class notes and
homework will be scored based upon completion and correction.
Note: Your work must

Be done in pencil on loose-leaf paper

Include homework with applicable work and corrections in ink

Materials
You are expected to come to class with your textbook, pencil, colored pen for corrections,
homework binder, loose-leaf paper, graph paper and calculator every day. A large three-ring
binder is highly recommended for your class materials.
Note: Your binder must be organized in the following manner:

Tab 1- Daily End of Course Preparation Exercises

Tab 2- Daily Notes and Homework/Miscellaneous

Tab 3- Quizzes

Tab 4- Open Reponses Questions

Tab 5- Vocabulary/Vocabulary Quizzes

* At the end of each semester your binder will be assessed as a unit test

Absences
You are to check with a fellow classmate, my organized binder or the daily calendar for missed class
notes, assignments, quizzes or tests. All make-up class notes, assignments, quizzes or tests, must
be completed within twice the number of days absent or one week, whichever is longer. In the
event the makeup work is not completed within the specified time, you will need to conference with
me.

completed assignments)
