The Alcatel-Lucent SONET/SDH Compact Media Adapter (CMA) provides compact, highly-scalable optical
connectivity options for a wide range of service provider, cable MSO, and enterprise, and vertical application
needs. With support for OC-3c/STM-1c and OC-12c/STM-4c and feature-rich packet over SONET/SDH
capabilities, the SONET/SDH CMA provides scalable and reliable delivery of optical transport services over
a unified IP/MPLS network.

SONET/SDH CMAs, which are supported

on the Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR-c12,
7750 SR-c4, and Alcatel-Lucent 7710 SR
platforms, support in-service insertion
and removal, and are fully managed by
the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 Service Aware
Manager (SAM).

BCP null, BCP.1Q, IPCP, PPP auto, frame

relay and WAN mirror encapsulations
