Dedicating Human Talent for Global Harmony and Prosperity
Unveiling The Global India Enterprise

Global India Enterprise

While the capitalistic nations strive to maintain their wealth and affluence by exploiting
the planet, selfishly consuming the future resources of humanity for their present
transient enjoyment, the underdeveloped or third world falters under exploitation both
within and without.
Even if we avoid nuclear war our wastes may prove as lethal as our bombs. Our
medicine is creating dreadful diseases and sub diseases, our food laden with chemicals
is insidiously destroying the human immune system, and while we should be more
concerned about scarce water resources and waste management collectively as a
species, we are more worried about control over the stock markets.
Ornament of Civilization
India, or native Bharat, the oldest living civilization is known for her diverse wisdom,
her limitlessly rich culture, her literature, the very fabric of religion, and the principles of
simplicity and sophistication. Her scripture boasts of expansive information about
Science, Religion, Politics and Philosophy. Her lore of knowledge streams around
Mathematics, Astronomy, Aviation and Shipbuilding, Medicine and Surgery, Civil
Architecture and planning, Water and Sanitary Management, Textiles, Advanced
Farming Techniques, Mathematics and vast wisdom of higher spiritual sciences. With a
history of over 50 centuries this great culture has opinions and suggestions relevant to
the man of this day.
Not ancient but even modern-medieval India has been noted for her expansive trade
relations and vast commerce. Every kind of produce known to the man of brain and
strength has a parallel in the Indian history. Thanks to its ingenious labor and
entrepreneurship skills, Until 18th century, India was known for her thriving markets and
genius of craftsmanship in every field of the life of the civilized world.
Forgotten Contribution
Unfortunately, though, this contribution is all but forgotten, by the Indians themselves.
Charmed by the glam of the western thought and lifestyle, entrenched by the British
colonial depictions of an India poor and in desperate need of civilized life, Indians have
been thinking lowly of their own unrivaled heritage.
The India through the lenses of Western Bias is portrayed rather grappling with

Festival of India
casteism, poverty, illiteracy, and corruption. Without being left enough recess to rethink
this prejudice, the Indian intelligentsia is made to disregard non-Western thought and
disbelief the achievements of Indian wisdom. Even after independence, an institutional
bias continues against traditional and Vedic science and technology. And the applicable
science is dubbed as myth.
Repositioning India as A Global Player in World Geopolitics
China has seen something similar. But fortunately for them, historian and researcher
Joseph Needham, a leading scholar at Cambridge, made it his life's work to document
China's history of science and technology in over 30 volumes. By the time he died at
age 90, his works had transformed the study of China forever. Today, every research
library on China, and every major library on science and history, has the Needham
collection as important reference. Every serious China scholar respects this work, and
its impact on the perception of China has been phenomenal. This impact has also
trickled down to depictions in schools and the general media.
Unfortunately, India is yet to achieve this kind of intellectual repositioning. She
continues to be depicted through caste, cows and curry images all too often. Indian
culture is frequently portrayed as being mystical in the sense of being irrational, and in
lacking a sense of advancement in the material plane of society.
Amidst obvious chaos, we must ask: Where is India? And what role does she have to
play? Where is the soul of India today? Where is her will? Like Arjun at war in
Kurukshetra, She is at crossroads of complex dilemmas. Western ideas of society and
governance are fast encroaching traditional Indian thought, in the wake of
this subtle colonization family values are de-rated, communities are separating apart
and economies are much in disarray than ever.
Treating a disease where the symptoms are treated on pathological evidence, similarly,
the problems facing the India of today and the world in a larger picture should be
objectively resolved. The prevalent defect of the modern society is superficial
perspectives of human existence incoherent with nature. No economy of the world can
replace the ecology of the habitat. Objective analysis of practices, whose principles and
ideologies have governed the progress of advanced ancient civilizations, are the need
of the hour.
The Festival with a Cause
We intend, in all honesty, to put in place the missing pieces of the puzzle and realize
the picture as a whole. The Festival of India is to be a dynamic yet entertaining show of
intellect and rational thinking, free of religious and political prejudice, and an opportunity

to observe the potential of human values, founded on practical and scientific traditions
for community upliftment.
We wish to present some concerns which, when addressed in the spirit of awareness
and collective responsibility, could lead India to, the CAUSE WAY to the glory of global
leadership, The India that CAN BE.

Promoting Global Prosperity and Harmony by Seven initiatives

1. Sustainability & Inclusive Welfare
Initiative: Community Supported Agriculture & Rural Infrastructure
Every 30 minutes, a farmer commits suicide in India. Governmental disregard, Soaring
production costs and decreasing returns on sold goods, unpredictable climate pattern
and insufficient rural infrastructure have rendered this noble occupation as a non-option
for the rural youth.
Urban migration and the consequent un-sustainability in food production, decreasing
soil fertility, risk to health due to an alarming increase in pesticide levels and dangers
impending food and seed sovereignty are some of the concerns staring at us today.
Supporting the traditional more natural and organic practices in agriculture, effective
management of resources and co-operation with the rural populations of India are
some of the solutions to these problems.
By communities supporting Agriculture, Consumers being aware on food
sovereignty, and Initiatives like Seed Banks, Bio-Manures, affordable water
harvesting technologies, assisting in setup of Farmer Co-operatives, Open
Markets, Agro Malls encouraging support to organic farming are some of the
avenues where active participation can make a visible long lasting change.

2. All Life is Sacred!

Initiative: Small scale production units in agrarian backdrops, creating consumer goods
with derivatives from live cattle.
Vedas, the ancient powerhouses of unchallenged wisdom, have declared a man rich if

Festival of India
he has enough cows. There is bay of difference between the indigenous species of
cows and other hybrids of bovine. Unfortunately an increasing number of Indian farmers
are looking at cows as livestock only. Cows are considered sacred to the Hindus for
many reasons. Cow Dung, cow urine and milk are gifts that go beyond these benefits to
nurture human kind. Unfortunately, being motivated and expedient, selfish man sees
the value in its flesh. Sadly, India is the Second largest exporter of Beef. Studies have
shown that the value of a Cow for its beef, leather, bones and flesh are trivial compared
to the economic contribution of lifetime in terms of benefits accrued from utilising cow
dung and cow urine for various consumables like tooth powder, bathing soap, mosquito
repellants, incense and daily utilities like paper, paper bags, medicines for curing
diseases and preventive health, manures and pesticides for agriculture & efficient
affordable means of transport.
Conscious consumption can make a difference to promote more demand for
cow based products and thus encourage the sustainable maintenance of cow
even after exhaustion of milk producing capacity. Research studies to observe
the influence of treated cow urine on cancer patients, especially may be carried
out to revolutionise treatment of terminal diseases. Promoting Cow Dung and
Urine as Fertiliser and Pesticides & technology for production of consumables
shall empower the farmer with economic viability. Hence a systematic united
campaign to implement ban on slaughter of cows should take precedence.

3.

Restoring Skill Gap and Promoting Native Entrepreneurship

Initiative: Promoting Self Help Groups, Skill Development & Social Entrepreneurship.
According to the Vedas, these five categories of society should be given focused care:
resource-starved learner, holy cow, woman, old & invalid & child in formative years.
Social trends are indicating increasing disdain meted out to all of the above. India is the
biggest home to Orphans, a deplorable emotional condition of elder generation,
domestic violence and disrespectful attitude towards women, heinous cases of child
abuse and child labor and indiscriminate slaughter of poor animals.
Educating the underprivileged, comforting them with self-confidence and
empowering these sections with skills and local entrepreneurship initiatives are
possible ways of dealing with issues of unemployment and violence. Women Self
Help Groups, Skill Development for Orphans & needy children, Need for
educating a respectful attitude towards women and reviving cultural traditions of
Family spirit are some specific initiatives for furthering this cause. Encouraging
social entrepreneurship amongst educated & selfless youth is one of the

important limbs of this cause.

4. Conscious Consumer
Initiative: Well Informed & Responsible Urban Lifestyle
While the modern lifestyle has its own concepts of luxury and comfort, it has dangers.
Which man has never encountered in history. We are being conditioned to seek,
sublime happiness, with gross items such as gadgets and cars. These skewed priorities
are making it increasingly difficult to come to a balance between work-life-and family.
While this makes us emotionally insecure, our unhealthy diets, is destroying the health
of individuals and communities while endangering the same of the coming generation.
Well-informed choices, of healthy diets free of chemical contamination,
minimizing the effects of modern electronic gadgets and distractive
entertainment are precursors to a peaceful and more fulfilling urban living.
Derivatives from traditional medicinal sciences such as Ayurveda and proven
healing techniques such as yoga and meditation should be able to improve the
overall quality of human life in all spheres of society.

5. Educating Head, Heart and Hands.

Initiative for Promoting Vedic Education Alternatives for Character and Skill Formation
When the British occupied the Indian administration, they had in their hands a
population, tem times larger than their own. Even if they had the military advantage of
their sophisticated weaponry, in order to truly dominate India, they needed to control the
Indian mind. Around 1835, the evil genius Macaulay, Devised a plan for this domination,
named it the Educational reforms of India, and imposed on India, what can be called
the greatest scheme of mass distraction, history has ever known.
By making the making the Indian learner feel inferior about his own cultural education
system, and proposing the so called superiority of the western system of instructions he
successfully, created a population of Indians who were actually British in their thinking,
and even had the British prejudice and ignorance against the Indian thought.

Festival of India
It was this prejudice, which now forms the basis of Indian education system, where a
learner is only running to achieve a degree or a title of some sort in order to secure a
job in the ever-increasing multitudes of rat racers, and that without any regard to the
Indian ideals of personal growth, spiritual stability and simplicity.
We propose to provide an alternative education system, based on the Vedic
ideals of Character, self-sustainability, and prosperity through simplicity and
sharing.

6. Not just a planet, its home !

Initiative: Promoting Resource sharing and Equity
As the most developed species in the ecosphere man cannot run away from the
responsibility his actions. It is time that we introspected about the mindless
consumerism and the mismanagement of the planets resources. The melting glaciers,
the trash patches in our oceans, the flimsy ozone and rapidly disappearing species are
all alarms, ringing to loud, yet we are too busy to pay any attention to these warnings.
Rivers, mountains, trees, lands and atmosphere are treated not as persons but
property. Hence resources of planet are being treated as property with no rights.
Rampant industrial development have resorted to means of expanding economies by
means of massive deforestation, oil extractions, irresponsible mining and releasing toxic
chemicals in the biosphere have done irreparable damage.
Humanity may have to weigh the opportunity costs of excessive expansion of
economies, yet it cannot match indomitable contribution of nature, by which trees
releasing oxygen to the atmosphere annually would require double the
total combined volume of world economies to do the same task. A well informed and
responsible lifestyle and bringing public policy to governmental implementation is the
only answer we have.
Promoting ecological sensitive choices of consumption, doing away with plastic,
non-recyclable materials &cautious consumption of energy sources including
water, paper, oil and electricity. Consume what you can replace with. Mantra for
Consumption pattern -Reduce, Recycle & Reuse.

7. Heritage and Pride of India

Initiative: Preservation, Dissemination & Application of Traditional Systems of

Knowledge, Sciences and Culture of Ancient & Medieval India

The Indian civilization, among worlds oldest and richest, has a strong tradition of
Science and Technology. Our contributions to astronomy, mathematics, medicine and
practical arts are not adequately acknowledged in the Western World, either due to
ignorance or prejudice.
According to economic historian Angus Maddison in his book The World Economy: A
Millennial Perspective, India was the richest country in the world and had the world's
largest economy during 0 BCE and 1000 BCE. British economist,Angus Maddison
argues that India's share of the world income went from 27% in 1700 (compared to
Europe's share of 23%) to 3% in 1950.
In the course of the colonial rule, we have learnt to revere the West and worse discount
ourselves. A person who has spent 12 years of his life learning the Vedas is seen as
"uneducated" not only by the society, but also by the person himself. Besides India's
philosophical and cultural legacy, its scientific heritage needs to be understood in order
to give its people a realistic sense of their place in the world.
The need to revive self esteem and pride in our roots will only help to bring excellence,
sovereignty and the drive to establishing successful Indian entrepreneurship in fields of
Economy, Arts & Sciences.
Awareness, Preservation and Propagation of Ancient Science, Methodologies
and Technologies of Indian Origin. Finding a place in School Curriculums,
exploring opportunities for research and setting up mobile museums &
exhibitions to propagate to rural and urban areas.
8.

Become a Spiritual Warrior

Initiative for Ensuring Moral and Ethical Conduct for Individuals and Communities
centered on Spiritual Reformation

One of the most dangerous phenomena on the planet at this time is a systematic effort
to repress healthy culture in deliberate attempt to destroy spirituality of any kind. The
engineers of this attempt are using every tool at their disposal to cultural erosion on
both obvious and subtle levels.

Festival of India
The goal is to bring about a stale of confusion by introducing and habits opposed to the
elevation of individual and individual consciousness. Beloved, surely some of your own
problems are due to influences of the spreading of sinful culture; however you will find
solace and strength in the path of spiritual warriors, we should understand that survival
not depend solely on our actions, but also on our response to behavior of others. No
one is an island. We must maintain high level of consciousness in the face of the
degraded of society and transcend the negative influences that surround us. To
accomplish this, we must first become aware true nature of the forces aligned against
us.
Life's greatest adventures are self-discovery, self-actualization and love. All three of
these aspects are intimately related because if we genuinely discover ourselves we will
also attain self-actualization and find that we eternally, constitutionally love creatures.
The beauty of love is that it works both ways: truly loving ourselves requires that we
love others, and, conversely, if we love ourselves enough, we naturally love others
because loving others fulfills a primal need in ourselves.
