IB Mathematics Standard Course Description:

Over the course of two years, IB Mathematics Standard provides students a sound mathematical background in
preparation for their future studies. The intention is to introduce students to these concepts in a comprehensible and
coherent way rather than insisting on mathematical rigor. In addition to regular class work and exams, students are
required to maintain a portfolio showing their ability to undertake work of an independent nature in the areas of
mathematical investigation and modeling as well as in closed-problem solving.
