Procurement of Cleaning and Gardening Services at the State
University of Zanzibar, Tunguu Campus - Unguja South Region,
Zanzibar

Invitation for Quotation

Date: 22nd August, 2016
1.

The State University of Zanzibar has set aside funds for the
University operation during the financial year 2016/2017. It is
intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to
cover eligible payment under the contract for the Cleaning and
Gardening services of the Tunguu campus.

2.

The State University of Zanzibar now invites sealed Tenders

from eligible providers of Cleaning and Gardening services.

3.

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive

Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods,
Works and Disposal of Public) by Tender Regulations, 2006
Government Notice No. 62 and are open to all Tenderers as
defined in the regulation.

4.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information

from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the Office of the
Secretary of the Tender Board, Ground Floor, Library
Building, Tunguu Campus; from 0900 to 1500hrs on Mondays
to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

5.

A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and

additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the
submission of a written application to the address given under
paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee
of Tanzania shilling One Hundred Thousand only (Tsh.
100,000.00). Payment should be made through the Peoples
Bank of Zanzibar Ltd, Account No: 021103000490 - The State
University of Zanzibar.

6.

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing

Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.

7.

All Tenders in one original plus one (1) copy properly filled in,
and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the
address: Library Block, PMU office, Ground Floor, Tunguu
campus at or before 10.30 hrs local time on 13th September
2016. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and
in the presence of Tenderers representatives who choose to
attend in the opening at the Conference Room, 1st Floor,
Administration Building, Tunguu Campus.

8.

Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders

not received, and not opened and not read out in public at the
Tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation
irrespective of the circumstances.
